two people... after a man is shot at his | it happened last night on 48th and haines circle... in orlando. deputies say the shooter walked up to a home... pulled a gun on jose gonzalez... and shot him in the shoulder. the suspect then took off... with a getaway driver. deputies say this all stemmed from an earlier dispute. the victim was taken to the hospital... and is expected to survive. jauthorities are searching for a missing alzheimer's patient. the highlands county sheriff's office says 80 year old lyman lovlien has not been seen since yesterday afternoon at his home in sebring. he was going to walmart with his jack russell terrier. he drives a green chevy truck. if you see him, call 9-1-1. you decide 2016-- even without the frontrunner present... the fox news gop

a health alert. the zika virus is spreading. the c-d-c says it is in 23 countries-- and counting. the mosquito-borne virus is linked to birth defects. right now, it it hitting brazil the hardest. other countries in south and central america, and the caribbean, are impacted. the world health organization estimates three to four million people in the americas could be exposed to the virus in the next onths already 31 cases of zika infections have been reported among u-s citizens who traveled to the zzf g99vvvn affected areas. three of those cases are in florida. the government is responding to the threat. @`pypp@| health experts are warning pregnant women against travel to several popular latin american destinations like mexico, brazil and panama. they should also avoid caribbean hot spots like barbados, puerto rico and the united states virgin islands to name a

the marion county sheriff says he is appalled-- after five of his deputies are charged in a brutal arrest. h,h|the incident happened in august of 20-14. this newly released surveillance video shows deputies kicking and hitting derrick price. j:!at price looked like the day of his mugshot. his charges--drug possession and resisting an officer without violence. sheriff chris blair says --seeing the video --was upsetting. yesterday-- former wgrmse terrell was federally indicted. the four other deputies have all plead guilty in federal court -- and are waiting to be sentenced. $ an orange county assistant basketball this morning... after

students. investigators arrested 46 year old james morris according to deputies, the front office administrator academy was collecting money senior cruise and graduation fees. but deputies say collecting some of the money too. according to the students had receipts from morris for money they paid him, but the money was never given to the school. we went to morris' his uncle didn't camera, but says that morris has been past. get ready for 24 hours of racing! kicks-off tomorrow. fans have their first chance to check-out the newly revamped "daytona international speedway" this weekend. deputies say cespedes was finally caught when he was filmed stealing from investigators. new this morning -- a bill that would allow you to openly carry a gun-- in public-- is moving forward. the bill passed another florida house committee yesterday -- but it was changed a bit. guns will now be required to be in a holster -- or in a bag. private businesses-- and property owners -- will be allowed to ban ` guns. but public places-- like parks and hospitals-- will not be able to ban guns. people would still need to have a concealed weapons permit to openly carry. hundred volusia county school employees will soon be making more money. the daytona beach news journal reports... the distric--t and the local trade union --agreed on pay school employees point-5 percent raise those employees `` ` include.. bus drivers, @ mechanics. time to take a look

boy was bitten by a snake at disney's animal kingdom. sue. according to attorney matt morgan, the family alleges a large snake fell from a tree onto the boy, wrapped around him, and bit him. say the boy's grandmother witnessed the event and went into died shortly thereafter. filing a formal alleged injuries and the wrongful death of the grandmother. we reached out to disney who tells fox 35 the allegations are an utter mischaracterization of the facts. disney confirms the incident occurred in october of 2014. a disney spokesperson says the snake was wild, not venomous, and not part of any exhibit. the spokesperson says the boy was taken to first aid and treated with a band-aid. disney goes on to tell us there was no call for an q2=ithe grandmother after the incident. morgan has scheduled a news conference for this morning where more details of the lawsuit are expected to be released.

making headlines around florida. a russian assault weapons classic is coming to florida. the daily mail qm-- a company previously owned by the inventor of the ak-47 is working to open a gun manufacturing plant in pompano beach. the new arm of the company would make weapons...including the iconic ak-47. however the company would not be allowed to make ammunition or sell the weapons in florida. this would be the second store in the u-s the company owns. the youngest elephant at the "ringling brothers conservation center" has died. the company announced that their 2-year-old elephant, mike, died of complications from a virus. ringling brothers says the virus affects elephants both in the wild and in captivity... and normally has an 80 percent fatality rate. residents are cleaning up after an tornado touches down in delray beach. the storm downed trees and power lines yesterday... causing power outages. the e-f-zero tornado brought 65 to 85 mile per hour winds. the national weather service is not sending a survey
