when the call came in it, a body was found a half mile away from the burning home. we don't know what happened to the person. but he was found lying in the middle of the street with a gunshot wound. let's hear from the battalion chief. >> let me say i'm a maniac, and everyone on this stage is stupid, fat, and ugly. now that we've got -- . >> reporter: that obviously was the wrong sound byte that we were going to play. the battalion chief was talking about that they had to go around to get the fire hose because they didn't want to jeopardize the homicide investigation, because the body was still there. we don't know how the body was connected to the arson. once we know, we'll let you know.

this morning. in this morning, the search for two people after a man was shot at his home. the shooter walked up to a home, pulled a gun on jose gonzales. all stemming from an earlier dispute. the victim was taken to the hospital with nonlife threatening injuries. authorities are searching for a missing alzheimer's patient. 80-year-old has not been seen since yesterday afternoon in sebring. he was going to walmart with his jack russel treasurier. if -- terrier. if you see him, you are asked to call police. luanne has the latest on the zika virus. >> reporter: right now it's

broke ton speak to us. the father, and perhaps the girlfriend is there collecting belongings. there's a lot of damage. you can see all of the windows blown out. no one was inside at the time of the blaze. we're waiting to hear back from the deputies about the identity of the man. just before midnight a neighbor reported the fire at river drive in ormond beach. the body was found a half mile away from the burned home. again, we're still trying to figure out who the man was. all we know was that he was scferred dead -- discovered dead with gunshot wounds. it took firefighters about 20 minutes to get it under control. >> we had had a delay in the response. there was an incident down the street, which is under investigation on the volusia
