7:32 am
you you have them have their say. i think hillary gave a good argument. >> lonnie, you said you get a better debate with two. >> yeah. i think the candidates get to talk a little bit longer about their positions there. not having someone who is not as well known on the stage helps out a lot. >> john: talk about the progressive label a second. here's what the candidates had to say. let's take a listen. >> i have heard senator sanders comments and it's caused me to wondzer who is left in the progressive wing of the democratic party. under his definition, president obama is not progressive because he took donations from wall street. >> instead of arguing about
7:33 am
you began it yesterday with -- talk about what we should do. and one of the things we should do is not only talk the talk but walk the walk. >> john: lonnie, the progressive, not liberal anymore. your reaction? >> it's a lit bit different if you compare the democratic side to the republican side. westernee is sword -- bernie is sort of like a friend. you ask somebody for a ride, and he would say get in, and hillary would say, i need gas money. it's all a matter of perspective. >> john: i like that analogy. what is liberal a bad word. >> liberal is a bad word. and progressive will be a bad word, and that's why the left changed to liberal back in the day quite frankly. it's all circular. there is no difference. the difference is progression. in the word progressive.
7:34 am
the other is faster moving. the bottom line, the democratic party doesn't want sanders to win, if he wince, we'll see -- if he wins, we'll see policies collide with the american people. heavy taxing. and democrats would rather have someone like hillary slowly and incremental making changes that occur to the system that you don't feel it as much. you get a bernie sanders in, i guarantee he will be a one termer and republicans would win big time four years from now. >> i don't think i heard this before. hinger clinton getting booed. >> i think it's time to end the art full smear you and your campaign have been carrying out. >> crowd booing. >> and let's talk about the issue. >> lonnie, what do you take from

[ applause ] >> john: karl, we're about out of time. does it help to bring mom out on the campaign trail? >> no. i think jeb bush has already been framed quite frankly. i think it's pretty much over for him. he may get a slight bump. >> if he needs to get someone to say something nice about you, it's always good to ask your mother. >> john: that's why we love mom. >> find me on facebook. true results communications. >> facebook at carl jackson radio. >> john: and moms we love you everywhere. where are we going, guys? amy. over to you.
