some kind of argument inside of the restaurant earlier in the evening and when a man was leaving the restaurant people outside opened fire and he was shot in the leg and another man in his -- innocent bystander struck by a bullet and both are expected to survive and the suspects are still on the run. new, a proposed ordinance to put an end to discrimination against the lgbt community was shot down last night in palm bay. >> voted down after hours of debate and the meeting lasted until 1:00 a.m. and drew a passionate crowd, more than 500 residents showed up to voice their opinions on a proposed human rights ordinance that was intended to protect the lgbt community. here is the gist of the ordinance, the intention was to protect the lights rights of the lgbt community in housing and establishments and detailed specifics about allowing transgender to use the restroom they most identify with and schools and churches would have

you. >> john: 9:16 on "good day orlando." we have breaking news in new york, at least one person is dead after a crane collapsed in lower manhattan. and it happened a few blocks away from the world trade center. live pictures from the scene right now, you can see a lot of people are scrambling there. witnesses report seeing the crane, the boom of the crane laying on several cars. a wrecking ball was reportedly attached to the crane, and went through the roof of a building nearby. a witness reported hearing a lout boom when the crane came down. so you can bet there will be a

>> and terrible weather, too. >> john: look at it. >> john: fitness trackers are the rage but could be vulnerable to hackers. >> amy: luanne joins us to tell us how it could impact you. hey, lu. >> luanne: researchers looked at several major brands of fitness trackers and found that nearly all of them did not pass a basic security test and means hackers have accessed very sensitive information that could be used against you, this university of toronto tested 8 popular fitness trackers including the apple watch and fit bit and 7 out of 8 of them were vulnerable to hacking. the only one that didn't fail was the apple watch. now, hackers could get your log-in and password data and they also could follow your movements. i think that is the most scary part here. and, we're also learning that the location data on your fitness tracker could be used for or against you in court. sort of acts like a black box on a plane tracking where you have

we start with breaking news back in new york city, this morning at least one person has died after a huge crane came down in lower manhattan, 15 others are hurt. nd it happened a few blocks away from the world trade center. and, it appears that the huge crane actually snapped in half and you can't see it from the video but we have a picture on our twitter feed this morning. around the pictures are literally unbelievable. when you see the signs of the crane -- size of the crane you understand the damage it did when it came down, it is a windy morning right now. in new york city, and gusts of 32 miles per hour. we don't know if it played a factor but it is a wet, snow you morning and makes cleanup efforts difficult. >> 3, 2, 1... rd 180 ignition. and, we have lift off of the rocket.

not as good as expected, 151,000 jobs added and we want 40,000 more and unemployment rate falls to 4.9% and wages go up. not a terrible report when you look at every aspect but not a good roar, either. -- report, either. >> john: new plan as far as gas prices. what is this proposal here? they want to raise money for green transportation projects and infrastructure improvements and say let's charge the oil companies a fee of $10 on each barrel of oil they produce. fine, but oil companies are shedding workers and cutting dividends and struggling and are not going to say, sure here's $10 on the $30 barrel of oil. and they'll pass that onto you and me. drivers at the gas pump and there is a formula we use for an increase or decrease in oil prices. a 25 cents jump or decrease, at the pump and would mean your gas is going to cost 25 cents a
