high. it is 8:16 now. time to talk about you decide 2016. the gop presidential candidates go back on the debate stage tonight. they hope to woo voters ahead of tuesday's new hampshire primary. the debate comes as new polls show donald trump at 30%. marco rubio gaining ground at 17%. and in a stang cal tie with the iowa caucus winner ted cruz 15%. john kasich who spent almost all of his time and money exclusively on new hampshire campaigning is in fourth place. he has 10% is in a dead heat with jeb bush who leads the single digits pact -- pac. frank torres joins us more about it. debate tonight i guess the headline on the debate is he's back. >> guest: he is back. absolutely. a lot of viewers a lot of casual viewers like seeing donald trump on the debate stage. they think he makes a more lively affair down in

expect cruz to go rubio on his immigration plan and trade barbs with ted cruz over his foreign policy decisions with various votes involving the economy. 12k34r67 this latest poll showing marco rubio polling at sphoon %. a little bit of a bump there. is that a trend or do you think this is just a one time thing? >> guest: we did a good week/bad week segment earlier this week. and marco rubio had the good week. he was coming off a big bump. a lot of people didn't expect him to finish in the top 3 in iowa. he almost overtook donald trump for second place so all the momentum is going to be tonight and we're going to see if he can do it again and keep his momentum on the side and get a really strong finish in new hampshire. >> tom: let's play what if. donald trump's national poll numbers still have him with a nice little lead. what if he goes into new hampshire and comes out second place again? >> guest: if he comes out second place again, then a lot of weight is going to be go towards south carolina. a lot of people are going to start questioning his ability. yeah, he's a big talker. he's a lot of fun to watch but committee win? he needs -- he needs to finish
8:18 am
people are going to start asking questions. is this the end of the world, probably not. but it would be a definite plus for his campaign. >> tom: what do you think happens in new hampshire? >> guest: i think donald trump wins and rubio comes in second. >> tom: really? >> guest: yes, [talking simultaneously] >> tom: if you think rubio comes in second what does that do for marco rubio? >> guest: it gives him a bigger bump and switches the narrative to him and donald trump going into south carolina. >> tom: jeb bush? >> guest: this is his last stand. it could be the last time we see him on a debate stage. i think he can make it to south carolina. he's still the richest candidate of the field but he needs a top 2 finish in new hampshire worse than these guys do. this could be his last shot of making an impression. >> tom: frank, good to see you. >> guest: no problem. >> tom: remember to tune in to "fox 35" for you decide countdown to the florida primary right after "fox 35 news" at 10:00, saturdays at 11:00. all right. let's talk about weather. that shot we showed outside on above i-drive, brooks, is just gorgeous. beautiful blue skies. >> meteorologist: yeah, it's

>> tom: on the health watch, if you've been using your bmi to measure your weight you could be setting yourself up for failure. researchers say it leads to some overweight people think they are healthy and unhealthy people to think they are on track. and that could affect your health insurance. "fox 35" luanne sorrell talked more about it with a local doctor. >> guest: joining me this morning is dr. jamon with orlando health. thanks for coming in a little nice to see you. >> good morning. >> now, we have heard for a really long time now that this bmi scale is just inaccurate. a lot of people hate this measurements because someone like yourself who is very thin, very fit is obese according to this field. you're overweight.
9:17 am
timely study in 2016 if certain policies go through, you may be charged much more on our health insurance premiums because you don't fit a certain number and so what this study found over 50 million americans will be mislabeled| as being`` overweight or\`` obese and{ if you look at their cholesterol and diabetes factors they're very healthy. >> what exactly does this bmi scale measure? >> guest: it's body mass in connection it takes into account your height and weight and puts you on a certain scale seven if you're over 25 or 30 you're considered obese -- 25 or 30 you're concerned overweight and you're considered obese. >> tom: so what is the scale doing wrong? what is it not measuring? >> it takes into account two small factors into your health. it doesn't take into account your age, your gender your muscle mass overall so a lot of athletes that if you actually put them in the bmi in connection they may be considered overweight and unhealthy. the reality is you can't go by
9:18 am
you have to take into account the entire body. you have to take into account your diabetes numbers and cholesterol numbers and everything else and so if companies are only going to use this one number then a lot of people are going to be mislabeled and have to pay a lot more on their health insurance premiums which is not a good thing. >> i thought this scale can take someone who looks to be fit and thin and say they're fine. >> guest: yeah. >> but you're saying internally you could be unhealthy, correct? >> guest: absolutely, absolutely. you could be and there's better tests out there@3 such as your height and waist @ index. there's also body % indexes and there's other tests so what we need to do when we're getting graded for all these things that all these tests are taken into account not just one test. >> if someone is measuring themselves or weighing themselves what do you want them to be aware of? >> i want people to aware don't weigh yourself during a day. once a week in the morning without any clothes on. and then just log it on your app and that's it.
9:19 am
so if anything what this study hopefully will do with motivate us americans out there to change those numbers of obesity. one-third of usp are@ right obese. so hopefully this will inspire us to be healthier because it not only will make us better in the end but save the whole health care system a whole lot of money better. >> always good to see you. tom, let's send it back to you. >> tom: still to come, a health scare has parents in central florida concerned this morning. the whooping cough symptoms some of my competitors plan to reduce the use of antibiotics over the next few years. but what are you having for dinner tonight? try perdue simply smart and harvestland . two trusted perdue brands of chicken raised with

school like barton fink, millers crossing, raising arizona, the big lebowski, no country for old men those are all that i can think of and the way they use scores and in farg they used the same composer and roger is shooting this movie. hail caesar is actually taking place in the early 1950s. josh brolin's character is a studio or a hollywood fixer who fixes problems at the studio that he's working for one of the biggest problems he has is that george clooney's character was a big star in this 1950s setting kids kidnapping and brolin has to get him back. huge cast for this film including channing tatem, josh brolin you have ray fiennes. it is a massive production and as a film fan i loved being on the set, going through the productions of these earlier films in 1950s and seeing how they were made. the movie is definitely set in a

have a lot of nods there to what hollywood used to be like back in the day. now, it is fictional but there are some nods in there to that element back in the day. now, every performance is phenomenal, channing tatum has an income song and tap dance number which is fantastic. i'd remind me of the old school fred astaire, i love scarlet johanen there's a wonderful sequence she's in the water. one shot it's beautifully beautifully shot. roger deacons went back for shooting on film for this movie he's been finishing digitalcally after celluloid to give that old school look. i thought the movie was very interesting. much like oh, brother where art thou i loved hail caesar i didn't love fargo and the big lebowski. it doesn't have the classic sense of a cohen brothers movie but there's so many elements of it that i admired. the performances are phenomenal and i think there are so many great sequences in the movie but there's also so many scenes that

and didn't fit into the structure of what i thought this movie was going to be. i gave it a 3.5 out of 5. it's not a 5 out of 5 classic cohen brothers movie if you're a big filmmaking fan it's highly worth seen and i love roger deacons cinematography. >> meteorologist: the best cohen brothers oh, brother where art though though. temperatures now 62 in orlando. 71 and melbourne brevard county but we've got a batch of rain that's going to be moving through, a nor'easter with gale warnings offshore it'll be an interesting next 24 hours and tomorrow it gets chilly.
