9:05 am
alert until further notice. now, it's affecting about 800 homes and businesses in the area. the water main break happened around tuesday night. officials don't know what exactly caused this break, but they believe cold weather may be to blame. the pipe has been repaired, but residents are keeling with little to no water pressure and will have to boil their water until the alert is rifted. and some residents we spoke with say they're not happy. >> there could be a sink hole because of all the water coming out and it's constantly a situation at that particular point right there. and with a daycare behind it, a church, it's not safe for the children. >> so as of right now, the city's asking residents to be patient as they continue testing the water and as for the road, it's unclear when this will be patched up and back open for drivers. but of course, we'll keep you posted. for now, reporting live, jackie, fox 35 news. >> thanks.
9:06 am
fox 35 has learned the man accused of killing two deputies in maryland was wanted by police here in central florida. >> this started yesterday at lunchtime. a deputy responded to a disturbance at a restaurant in hartford county, just north of baltimore. 67 -year-old evans opened fire inside of that panera bread restaurant, killing the deputy. he shot him right in the head when the deputy walked over and asked him how he was doing. a second deputy was killed in a shoot out with evans, as well. evans was eventually killed by two other deputies. and this is important, as well. evans was actually wanted right here in central florida because apparently he had assaulted a police officer in the past in orange county and there was a warrant out for his arrest here, as well. 2015, bernie sanders and hillary clinton are going to be squaring off tonight following sanders big land slide win in new hampshire. >> both are heading to wisconsin for what's being called a
9:07 am
clinton admits to needing to do more to win over voters after her loss on tuesday night. sanders won nearly every demographic, including women and young voters. he met with revved al sharpton yesterday as he tried to shore up support among black voters. >> we will not be ignored. our votes must be earned. >> the next caucus for democrats is a little more than a week away in nevada on the 20th. then it is the south carolina primary on the 27th. ryan joins us live with a look at the gop side. >> the attack ads started running this week, ted cruz using kids to take on dwuchl. that's part of what's going on behind the scenes. jeb bush, competing, hoping the momentum rolls over from new hampshire. he's really the only candidate that's held trump accountable.

the using a vulgarity. and i for one, as a candidate for president, here's another commitment to you, until i'm caught with a camera i didn't see, i'm not going to use profanity in the public. >> he will use his brother, though. former president george w. bush expected to campaign for his brother in south carolina on the 20th. he did well in south carolina in his two elections. hampshire. pledging to do better when the remaining candidates when they go head to head. chris christie won't be on stage in that debate that will be in south carolina. >> in seven of those debates, i did very well in those debates. i had a bad incident at the beginning of this debate and it clouded everything else we talked about. it's on me. we're gonna make sure that doesn't happen again. >> it will be an interesting night on the stage. moil, donald trump will be making his way to the sunshine state tomorrow. he's joining republican rivals in south carolina while also
9:09 am
sanders and hillary clinton. >> who thinks that hillary is who thinks she's going to be able to run, because the democrats are protecting her and maybe -- first of all, she's gotta get through this whacky socialist guy, bernie. >> and trump is expected to have a huge crowd tomorrow at 7:00 p.m. tickets went very fast for that event. the gop race lost two other candidates after the new hampshire primary. that is chris christie and carly fiorina. now the race is on to find out exactly who will win their support. that will be interesting. indulge your entity tooth and get healthy at the same time. >> i like this idea.

pictures you're sending us from all over florida. someone scraped the frost up to make what looked like a snowball in cocoa. researchers have found a new type of gene in women that makes you more likely to gain weight. >> and makes your weight more sensitive to your environment. a canadian research team found that women from lower income families who had this gene were more likely to be overweight, but some women with better social status who had the same gene were less likely to be overweight. in other words, the gene doesn't make you fat, but it's part of your equation. your environment also plays a huge factor. no matter your genes, a healthy lifestyle also plays a huge part in your 28. how can you make sure your gift from the heart is good for the heart?
9:14 am
benefits of chocolate. tell me more. >> so this is the science, by the way. chocolate comes from a cocoa bean which is superhealthy. it's filled with anti-oxidants. and what it does is it helps to lower blood pressure, it's good for your cardio vascler system, good for your mood, good for brain function. but here's the thing. you have to be eating the right chocolate. let me tell you what the right chocolate is. it is dark chocolate, and really dark chocolate only is where you get the health benefits. so here's an example. this has 88 % cocoa listed right there on the front. so dark chocolate by definition has to be 35 % cocoa. that's not really enough. health experts say you have to get at least 70 % cocoa in your chocolate. and look for it. i feel like if it's got enough, they're going to put it right there on the label.
9:15 am
start reading labels and you're looking for the right ingredients, bitter sweet chocolate is the first ingredient on this one. as opposed to your milk chocolate, which is very delicious, but the first ingredient on this is going to be fat, sugar, milk. so you can see where you're not getting enough of the cocoa to make a difference. so milk chocolate, and by the way, milk sort of negates the good anti-toxdant properties uvulate cocoa. so that's why milk chocolate, you're not getting health benefits from eating the milk chocolate. it's got to be dark. if you're a white chocolate fan, and we love hershey's, but this really has no health benefits as far as cocoa. white chocolate is fats and sugars mixed together to make what they call white chocolate, but it's not really chocolate at all. so the rule is look for the dark chocolate, eat a couple squares, enjoy it. and this is where you will get your health benefits.
9:16 am
and chocolate, there's more anti-oxidants in chocolate than there is in black tea, green tea, red wine? wow. that's fascinating. >> so it's legit. >> i like to mix something in with my dark chocolate so i gotta mix in raspberry or something. i know i'm adding the sugar content, but am i getting the same benefits? >> yes, i do believe. as long as the cocoa content is up there. the trick is for all of us is when you're eating this chocolate is to only eat a square or two, whether it's dark chocolate or not. i will tell you, this is interesting viteae here's our example of not real heart healthy. so this is about 500 calories for this bar, this snickers, which is delicious. and this role bar is about a couple00 calories or so, but the sugar content in this bar is ten and in this it's like 50.
9:17 am
alone, there's a huge difference. >> i know. don't ask us that. that's a hard question. >> it is hard. as long as it's not --. >> it's gotta not be bitter and then i'll eat it. >> maybe you should do like a 70 %. start low. >> work my way up. >> don't go for the 88. yeah. >> no, i couldn't do it. all right. thank, girl. love you. we'll see you later. >> thanks. happy valentine's day. >> you, too, dina. >> let's send it over to jayme king in the weather center. i will not disagree on that point. let's talk. it's cold sunshine down to the beach front. this is gorgeous cape canaveral. a couple sea gulls out there braving the cold breeze. otherwise, not a single solitary soul moving across the sand. at least, not yet. maybe later this afternoon. let's talk about our accuweather visit orlando cam.
9:18 am
high atop the higher regency in orlando. overall, a pretty cool scene. pretty uniform across the region. everybody enduring those 30s. 20 over out toward ocala and gainesville. the villages at 48. you can see everybody has come up nicely. de land, finally on the move. upwards on the upper 30s, now, just about 20 minutes ago. we have progress. and we've got a light, slight breeze that is kind of aggravating the situation a little bit viteae you've got a little bit of a wind chill or feels like factor this morning. thank goodness we do not have the wind that we had just yesterday and the day before that. it was screaming out there. when you couple that with cold morning temperatures, it would have been brutal this morning. but again, rising up and out. around 50 at the airport. should make it to the mid-60s or close to that for area highs today. the far north down to the far southeast and west, fairly uniform overall in the day-to-day. everybody sees sunshine as we have high pressure and what we call a sinking air mass in
9:19 am
don't have any cloud cover or vertical growth. so we keep the sun in place. we'll clear it out for tonight, not that we got any clouds to clear out. but it stays clear all the way through 8:00 tomorrow morning, down to 55 during that time. no where near as cold as we go to the overnight tonight and first thing tomorrow. next friday, a move in. and this is one of the culprits in a nice warmup. substantial pruformations tomorrow, a high close to 75, 2 or 3 friday morning. as the front makes a move across the area, our winds will veer more north, northeast late in the weekend. we'll avert another big cool down. we'll avoid that, but it looks like we'll see 60s return for highs, a little saturday and sunday. and you can see the warmth now gathering over the gulf south. houston for example today should make a run at about 80 degrees and eventually that pocket of warmer air will begin to over spread our area and that will bring temperatures up and up and that's why our 7 -day looks like this with 74 for tomorrow. down to the 60s for the weekend

9:24 am
and the couch folds out and that's where the three boys sleep and the baby sleeps in her pack and play 72 no question about it. it is pack in here, but you've got resourced allocated appropriately. >> we do. we've saved for a couple years so we have money in reserve but i also have jobs lined up in some of the states we're going to be traving to. so it's nice, and we even have more people out pouring of future jobs in different states. so we can play, work, play. it's going to be really, really good for our family. >> and they're going to see pretty much every state park, every national park. you've decided leesburg is not home. you want to leave and maybe set up camp, a home, somewhere else in the country. and that's the missions of this trip, as well. is to maybe find a new location for your growing family. >> exactly. as we travel, we're going to find a state with land and just be like, this is home. this is where we're supposed to build a simple home as a flachlt we can live in our rv while
9:25 am
will be where we end up. we're not sure where that will be yet. >> i know, i know. i'm making my prediction right here on mox 35. >> maybe. that would be awesome. we'll see. we'll find. >> we're gonna follow, and you can, too, very easy. >> go to www.simple life full hearts.com. >> it is a simple life and their hearts are huge. you guys have been wonderful sharing your time with us this morning here on "good day good luck. we're counting on all of you to report back to us and give us nothing but good news, okay. >> absolutely. thank you. >> thank you so much. >> we think thrives a child hiding under the table, david. >> there may be one stuck under there. >> he's totally ignoring us. maybe. is there one under there? >> i didn't even notice it. there's one under there. >> can you wave at the camera?

9:30 am
it can be awfully confusing for a lot of people. two things they're doing. first of all, the timeline, right now, you get your tweets in a chronological order. they want to switch that up so you get them based on what's most relevant to you and your interests. and the other thing, you have 140 characters to write something, your handles are part of my 140 characters. they might say, you know what, add all the people you want, it won't count towards the 140 characters. >> and finally, disney trying to get their light shows to be even more spectacular. what do they want to do? >> use drones. they have filed a patent for projector systems. it's kind of complicated and technical, but basically it uses drones to beam lights through the sky so the theme parks would have even more astounding light shows. >> we love it.
