breaking right now-- the search is on for a missing boater in brevard county. a woman reported her boyfriend missing around 10 last night... after he went fishing and never returned. the coast guard

phone and found his boat just off of satellite beach... but he wasn't in it. the coast guard is currently searching the area between satellite beach and patrick air force base. we have a crew on the way to the scene. we'll bring you more information... throughout goodday orlando. more news from overnight. an r-v is completely destroyed after it catches fire in ormond beach. it happened on us highway 1 near i-95 just before 1 a-m. we are told that the r-v was the only vehicle involved. two people were inside the r-v at the time of the crash...but at this time we don't know of their injuries. volusia county fire is handling the investigation. firefighters battle a house fire over night in deland-- it happened on south stone street just after midnight. we're told 4 people were inside-- everyone got out... but one person did injure their arm. we aren't sure how severe their injuries are or if they were taken to the hospital. developing this morning-- the search

two others injured. the accused shooter.. . was in court yesterday. rqc1rrest report--lamont postell was involved in a fight during the party at the indigo lakes golf club in daytona beach. police say security broke up the fight... but it continued outside. that's when they say postell grabbed a gun from his car and shot three people. but postell insists he was beaten unconscious before the shooting happened. one of the q%5s--donkevious johnson died from his injuries.

degree murder and two counts of he's being held without bond. also in volusia county-- residents are calling for change... after a truck slams into a home in new smyrna beach. the accident happened at a home at the intersection of cooper street and oakwood avenue yesterday. neighbors tell us a truck was speeding down oakwood ... when it blew through a stop sign. tree before plowing a home. a woman was in the home at the time of the crash... but was not hurt. neighbors say this isn't the first time they've seen this kind of crash in the area. several neighbors say they are trying to get a 4-way stop at the intersection... and warning signs on the actual pavement. happening now... the number of hit- and-run crashes is on the rise in florida.

patrol is kicking off a campaign... to try and curb this deadly trend. 186 people were killed in hit-and-run crashes in 20-15... according to f-h-p. in total... there were 92-thousand hit-and-runs statewide... or 250 every single day. we asked a f-h-p spokeswoman why the problem is getting worse. a major part of the campaign is to raise awareness of what drivers should do if you're involved in a hit-and-run crash. f-h-p says to call 9- 1-1 immediately.... and then stay in your vehicle if you can... as you wait for help. today-- trial is expected to begin for a man shot by a deputy outside the w-w-e performance center in orlando.

attacking an orange county deputy in august... after he was caught trying to break inside of building. right now montalvo is charged with aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer... but his attorney argues his client is not fit to stand trial. montalvo has previously been diagnosed with bipolar disorder. developing at this hour-- a judge in texas says supreme court justice antonin scalia died of natural causes. scalia was found dead saturday. he was 79. the judge did not order an autopsy. overnight, scalia's body was flown from el paso to his home state of virginia. president obama plans to nominate scalia's successor quote: "in due time." we'll have a live report in 30 minutes... on what scalia's death means for the high court... and the political battle that's sure to follow. the number of "zika" cases is florida has grown to 20. all of the patients got the virus outside of the u-s. meanwhile, hawaii declared a state of emergency to fight mosquito borne illnesses. there have been no locally transmitted "zika" cases there. but they are dealing

"tessie gresham" and her boyfriend "david buchan" are considered persons of interest in the case. they were taken into custody mterday... and baker acted. deputies thought the couple had taken off in the victim's

who is considered "in danger." they say 55-year-old william arrant, junior, walked away from his assisted living facility, in ocklawaha, friday. he suffers from mental health issues and needs his medication. if you see him, call 9-1-1. a new kind of racing is gaining traction in central florida. we're talking about drone racing. the souped up quad-copters fly at 60 to 70 miles per hour as they navigate through gates. the racers wear goggles that give them a first person view from on-board the drones. this is what it looks like. chris thomas discovered "f-p-v flying" a couple years ago. in april of 20-15... he founded the "multi g-p drone racing league" in brevard county. now there are 300 chapters around the

making headlines around florida. two teens are accused of attacking and robbing three people, at gunpoint, near tampa. hillsborough county deputies say .spree started early yesterday morning in carrollwood. police say an 18 and 15 year old hit a

with a gun and stole her purse. during the struggle the gun accidentally went off... almost hitting the victim. deputies say those two teens... also robbed two men later that morning. the teens were eventually caught. investigators say xxx6xx6xxx they confessed. a five-year-old boy in polk county has died after he was hit by a car driven by a man who was trying to get away from police. the sun sentinel reports jayden w9 was on a sidewalk near his p home in boynton beach on saturday when he was hit. the driver, lex eugene, was running from police after they tried to stop him for reckless @ driving. eugene was caught, and is charged with several crimes including vehicular manslaughter and murder. florida's "python challenge" is now over. seven o clock last at last check, hunters caught snakes. they were all turned over to scientists for the goal is to lower the python population in the everglades. the giant snakes are a big problem not native to florida.
