a florida congressman is calling for the government to boycott "apple" products. this is all because --the company refuses to unlock the i-phone of san bernardino shooter, "syed farook." as county 9gressman "david jolly" is sponsoring qa bill that would ban government agencies from buying any apple products. the idea-- is to keep tax-payers from supporting apple... while the company is standing in the way of an f-b-i investigation. coming to the handling of marijuana cases. if you are caught with the drug... it does not mean you will automatically go to jail! yesterday-- volusia county council members passed a resolution, giving deputies a choice with marijuana offenders. if someone is caught with 20 grams or less of marijuana-- deputies can give them a 100-dollar fine -- instead of jail time. council members say opinions about marijuana have changed-- and there

the new rules on pot will apply in un- incorporated volusia-- and the beaches-- not the cities. a trial date is set for the former security guard-- accused of murdering a woman in downtown orlando. that story kicks off the morning rush. an orange county judge set stephen duxbury's murder trial for october 10th. last month, a grand jury indicted him on charges of first- degree murder... attempted sexual battery... and burglary. he is accused of murdering 27-year- old sasha samsudean last october. duxbury was a security guard at the "uptown place apartments" where the victim lived. osceola county deputies need your help identifying a suspect-- accused of robbing a mini-golf course. last sunday-- deputies say this man walked up to the window of the "congo river" golf course-- on irlo bronson highway.

seen wearing ladies high heels in downtown orlando last night. it's part of the 4th annual "walk a mile in her shoes"-- raising awareness for domestic violence. last year's walk raised more than 24- thousand dollars for programs to fight domestic violence. you decide 2016-- the debate is over... but the dust is just starting to settle after a fiery night in detroit. frontrunner donald trump had a target on his back all night.... and is still taking shots this morning. in washington d-c.... with the break down --- came out on top last -- can anyone make a run at trump?

it reads... "colorado movie gunman james holmes moved out of state after prison fight." holmes is reportedly not supposed to come into contact with anyone except for prison staff. but-- there are reports that another inmate managed to slip through an open gate... and attack holmes. the inmate got few punches in before the fight was broken up. holmes was sentenced to life in prison-- for opening fire on a packed movie theater in aurora colorado, back in 20-12. following this fist- fight... holmes is being moved to a different prison... outside of colorado... but no word where exactly that is. your next headline comes from "the new york post." it reads-- "tom brady's suspension likely to be restored after rough court day." tom brady's visit to court yesterday did not go so well. the three judges on the panel... asked a lot of "skeptical" questions. a lot of them revolved around how the quarterback-- destroyed his cell phone, just before meeting with attorneys. brady is accused of rigging footballs... for a 20-14 "a-f-c

a four-game suspension was lifted after a previous court ruling... but now it could be back on the table. if the case doesn't go his way... he could be suspended to start next season. believe it or not... this case could go all the way to the supreme court. your last headline comes from our sister station, "fox 5 d-c." it reads... "army vet fired from job at cvs after confronting two robbery suspects in store." the veteran sprung into action last week-- when two men jumped over the counter at the c-v-s where he worked... demanding money. "joe morici" confronted the men-- one of whom was armed with a screwdriver. "morici" dis-armed that man... and both suspects ran off. but the veteran's boss then fired him for his actions. c-v-s said in a statement-- "the safety and well- beaing of customers and employees is our highest priority." but they did not give specifics... on

make changes in florida's death- penalty. the bill stems from a u-s supreme court ruling... that florida's current system is unconstitutional. the ruling cited that judges... not juries... were making the final decision on life or death. under the new bill-- at least 10 of 12 jurors will have to recommend the death penalty. it now heads goes to the governor's desk.. where he is expected to sign it. the bill does not apply to the hundreds of inmates who are already serving on death row in the state. the "pastor ction bill" is also heading to the governor. the florida senate passed the controversial proposal. it protects clergy members--who refuse to perform same-sex marriages -- from being sued. some pastors felt they needed extra protection -- after the u-s supreme court ruled to legalize gay marriage last year. finally-- a medical marijuana bill has passed the florida house. the bill calls for expanded use for patients with terminal conditions. it also adds regulations to a previous bill passed two years ago by the florida house. similar bill is also
