calling his murder-second-degree plan. donald trump had to cancel his rally in the windy city. and a little bit of a warm start this morning on saturday. a first look at weather with brooks tomlin. >> good morning, andrea, good morning, everyone. we do have some fog in portions of volusia and flagler county. that should improve through the mid-morning hours. we also have some showers off brevard and volusia county. most of central florida dry, but the rain showers off shore moving where they could clip the coast, flagler, volusia counties. just a few light showers. most of us will stay dry today. maybe all of us. starting off in the mid to upper 60s and low 70s in some spots.

maitland police is a lead investigator on this case and piecing together exactly what happened. the spokesperson tells me that investigators believe there was a crash right before that vehicle burst into flames. one person confirmed dead. at this point we don't know what caused that crash or the identity of that person, but definitely a big mess out here, causing quite a bit of backup. only one lane is open, so i would suggest avoiding this area if possible or getting off earlier at lee road. isn't too bad. if you're on i-4 eastbound and need to make your way through to get through. of course we are working to get more details on this and we'll bring you anything as it comes in for now. reporting live along i-4, gina benitez, fox 35 news. for that update. orange county deputies

8:08 am
the massive rally escalated so quickly it forced donald trump to cancel his event. the trump camp]&y**ing it was too dangerous to continue, but the cancellation led to more madness outside. trump spoke via phone on the record. here's what he had to say. >> it was a big rally and a tremendous rally with tremendous people, but i just don't want to see people any people on either side. we have such a divided country now. it's been so divided under this president, and i've been saying it for a long time. >> mean while presidential candidates are gearing up for more voting today. gop conventions in washington, d.c. and we are three days out from florida's primary. bob frier spoke with craig patrick and frank torres about the upcoming primary. >> i think every analyst is going to tell you that donald trump and hillary clinton win
8:09 am
do you see any kind of surprise coming out of that? >> there's the possibility, but i think rubio's chances of winning this are only slightly better at this point than if he'd never been born. he went rolling in the mud with trump and with that he did taint his brand. keep in mind that maybe 40% of the vote thereabouts has already been cast and you can only move the needle so much. >> franker, are there back room deals being made? >> there's always back room deals being made. it wouldn't surprise me if marco rubio's got several calls to drop out. i'm sure kasich's gotten the same. you've heard a potential rubio vice president, but his relationship with donald trump has been damaged due to that feud. everybody's looking forward to
8:10 am
>> and finally, craig, if trump wins florida and ohio, smooth sailing to the nomination, but if he doesn't win ohio which seems to be the one state he might not win we're looking at a contestant convention, yes? >> the math takes us in that direction, but florida is front in center. if for some reason trump loses florida this might be the beginning of his depiez. -- demise. even if he loses ohio he still has a pass to get there in particular if kasich should drop out and rubio drops out, but it makes it far more interesting if he loses ohio. >> and what do we do in the general? most of the polls show donald trump losing to hillary clinton. >> yeah, if i'm hillary clinton or hillary clinton's campaign i'm loving what i'm seeing playing on the gop. you get donald trump or you get

some of that outsider vote. as for the protests with the rally. he draws protests everywhere he goes. luckily when he was herewe5g in orlando it was a peaceful rally and there were several hundred other people like that. something about his message that brings out emotions on both ends of the spectrum, and something that really drives people to show up at the event. it can be good sometimes to get people involved and other times it can be bad. >> some critics are saying that that rally in chicago was an opportunity for a number of people to stir the pot and stir up the anger and take their protests to another level. >> you get -- every presidential campaign this is very common. with donald trump it's amped up four times over. we haven't seen this candidate that's been this controversy with his message and that gets people off the couch and on the streets, sometimes carrying signs and ca r l={ stickers and buttons, other times they're carrying signs and protesting.

9:16 am
done to the primary. it's really interesting stuff. >> is it fair to say that regardless of the outcome on tuesday for the republican candidates it will be a fight to the finish. >> if donald trump can sweep and continue the face he's on it's going to look like he's going to reach that number he needs to hit. if he doesn't take both of them or none of them then you're going to see!29i ted cruz continue to be a factor and all the other candidates fight for these delegates leading up to the republican convention later this summer. pleasure. thank you so much. tuesday. >> it will be a blast. fox 35 is your source for presidential race. follow us on fox35orlando.com or download the fox 35 news app on your phone. we send it on over to brooks. good morning, andrea, good information, frank. i don't know if he's going to get any rest after tuesday. i think he's got a long summer ahead of him. good morning, everybody. thanks for joining us. temperatures in the 70s.
