it's the left-hand turn revving up driver's blood pressure because the light is freaky fast too rob took the cell phone video while stop inside the turning left lane then e-mailed us to find out why that light is so darn quick. >> it's frustrating when you're trying to get to work on time and you have family there and worried about them getting hit. >> reporter: we're talking about the left-hand turn signal if you're coming from dr. phillips trying to turn left or onto turkey neck lake. >> i see four cars every single cycle go through as the light changes. >> reporter: our camera captured several cars charging through that intersection after the arrow clearly turned red. we decided to time the light ourselves using the smartphone stopwatch.

middle school in ocala. students, we're told never put in any danger, but that child is undergoing a mental evaluation tonight. a stolen suv crashes and bursts into flames in volusia county. that 18-year-old, andre, carjack add woman stopped at a red light. she and a child were able toll get out, but her dog was still inside the car when that teen drove off. the suv eventually crashed. you can see what happened in deland. >> helped him get the guy out of the car to get him away from the blow. >> there was a gentlemen dragging a man out and the car was already on fire. dragging the man out, and next thing you see is the car burst into flames probably 20-foot flames coming out of that car. >> of course you're worried about the dopg. there's kenzie right there. able to get out of the crash and found relatively uninjured several hours later and back

new tonight. spring break turning dangerous for a beach patrol officer on daytona beach. the officer's recovering from an injury after some kind of a scuffle with a spring breaker. tiffany teasley is on daytona beach tonight. she's got the latest. >> reporter: fortunately that beach patrol officer has been released from the hospital. meanwhile the suspect accused of assaulting him remains behind bars here at the volusia county99ej jail, facing multiple charges. >> we saw a cop car driving real fast with his lights on. >> reporter: it happened here at daytona beach near the ocean walk section of the beach around 1:30 this afternoon when the beach was packed with spring breakers. >> they are cracking down on the drinking. >> reporter: a beach patrol officer was trying to arrest jamie gordon for an alcohol violation when he resisted and took off running.
