difficult for them to find a match and my donor was one of those people. and, for 40% of the people waiting may never find a match because of the antibody and what they are doing with the process, desensitization and are going in and tweaking the recipient's immune system to make it less likely that he or she will reject a donor kidney from somebody. so it may be really great news for people who waited a long time, and are waiting on a kidney. it is still in the experimental process but seems to be effective. amy. they are talking about 8 years out, a very high number of these folks are still alive. about 75%. so, you know, that is a very good track record for this particular study or these particular patients. >> amy: what about other organs? obviously, the kidney, you know, is great. any other organs that could work
8:12 am
>> the biggest potential will be kit with kidneys but it may be effective with liver donors and maybe lung donors. the catch, though, is, amy, there has to be a living donor transplant. like i was part of where somebody gives you one of their kidneys, because they need a couple of weeks and they have to pre-treat you before you have your transplant surgery receive your kidney to give you -- takes out the antibodies of your blood and give you new antibodies and those new antibodies make it less likely that you may reject the kidney, once you get it. so it could be huge news for people waiting on a list for a long time and can't find a match. >> amy: it really is a breakthrough, for sure. great to see you. al looking good in your green, today. see you later! >> therapy green? >> jayme: took it out! what she's talking about, folks,

>> amy: all right, expect you to do your irish jig as we answer the question, on this day in history, march 17th, 1762. the very first st. patrick's day parade was held, but it was not in ireland. it was in new york city. i thought about making that the question but i thought it would be too easy. ryan didn't. so, for many years the irish actually associated another color with the holiday, because green was actually considered to be unlucky. the other color was also considered symbolic of ireland. and it is used in their presidential flag.
8:44 am
was it blue, yellow or orange that was first associated as the color of ireland? the question this morning. david martin, sending it out to you first. out there with a lot of smart people. i hope somebody knows the answer to this. >> reporter: a great question. yeah. these folks at the 18th annual match cover swap fest know this. to the chairman here. of the swap fest, frank denver. you heard the question and this answer. tell our audience what the answer is. >> i'll take a shot at blue.
