you decide 2016, the confetti is falling, but it's still not clear who should be celebrating. >> we're going to go all the way to cleveland and secure the republican nomination. >> we're going to win, win, win, and we're not stopping. >> all five claim that they are in a fight to the finish. >> we should be breaking down barriers, not building walls. >> if we stand together, there is nothing we cannot accomplish. >> a presidential race like no other. the battle for the white house wages on. >> hello and welcome to you decide 2016.
11:01 pm
it was a wild week here in florida, and all across the country really, as we get closer to finding out who the nominees for president will be. let's look at the week ahead. tuesday is another big day. primaries in arizona and utah. in all, 2047 delegates are up for grabs between both tar pis across those three states. donald trump and hillary are feeling the momentum. both had huge weeks. donald trump winning florida, north carolina and illinois. hillary clinton winning all those states but the critical swing state of ohio. and florida made even more national news this week when our own governor and anti-establishment business man officially endorsed donald trump. take a listen to what rick scott had to say. >> we can't keep having this republican and republican fighting. i want jobs. i know donald trump can focus on jobs like i've done down here, and turn this economy around. >> we will cover every possible
11:02 pm
analysts debate the issue of riots at the republican convention. fox political editor craig patrick talks about the florida flop. and why the sunshine state hasn't had a presidential candidate yet. and award winning charlie laduf goes one on one with a protestor who got so rowdy donald trump had to cancel an appearance. was it free speech or just down right dangerous? time to do a number crunch. we take a look at the delegate count. >> at the end of the day, it's all about how many delegates you get. let's check in and see where we're at. on the republican side, we have donald trump in the lead with 673. ted cruz has 411. and john kasich has 143. keep in mind the magic number is 1,237. that means there is over a thousand delegates up for grabs. now, on the democratic side of things, their magic number is
11:03 pm
now, right now hillary clinton has 1,606, and bernie sanders has 851. >> that means cruz and sanders have to make up some ground this week, more good races. what do we have this week? >> let's take a look at the poll numbers for arizona. the real clear politics poll has the frontrunners saying in the lead. we have donald trump with 31%, ted cruz at 19%, and john kasich at 10%. now, on the democratic side, hillary clinton has a commanding lead with 50% of the poll numbers, and sanders with less than half of that, at 24%. >> stacking up kind of the way it is right now. >> exactly. >> all right. there you have it. meanwhile, donald trump and hillary clinton say they are both on track to sealing up the nomination after strong finishes right here in florida. here is amy kaufeldt with the wrap up of the week. >> ohio governor john kasich breathing a big sigh of relief and for good reason. he delivered his winner take all
11:04 pm
back donald trump. >> we will beat hillary clinton, and i will become the president of the united states. >> big talk, but this is kasich's first and only win so far. still, it makes it much more difficult for trump to win the nomination outright. making a contested convention this summer even more likely. >> we're going to make our country rich again, we're going to make our country great again. and we need the rich in order to make the great, i'm sorry to tell you. >> the casualty, marco rubio. despite pledging to keep running no matter what, he suspended his campaign after a trump trouncing in his home state of florida. >> the fact that i've even come this far is evidence of how special america truly is. >> delegate wise ted cruz remains in second place, and he's hoping now for a two man race with trump. hillary clinton went a long way to locking down the democratic nomination, and made a confident pivot attacking republicans.
11:05 pm
be able to defend our country, not embarrass it. >> but bernie sanders who has been a persistent thorn in clinton's side says don't count him out. he's already looking ahead to arizona next week. >> we will win if the voter turnout is high. let's make it high. thank you all very much. >> bernie sanders' campaign says they have a long shot strategy relying on super delegates to pull him through. bottom line he's showing no signs of giving up anytime soon. in the newsroom, amy kaufeldt, fox 35 news. prediction. >> i think it would be a -- i think you would have riots. >> an inside look at the turmoil within the republican party over donald trump and the powerful

possibility of a brokered conviction are carl jackson. good to see you. appreciate you being here. first up, your reaction to what he says. there could be riots. >> i think he's absolutely right. i mean, look at the mood of the country. now, you have to look at chicago and what happened in chicago, and that was partly organized. but people are in a fight back mode. honestly it's why donald trump's campaign is so successful. people are fed up with what's going on and i'm afraid that he's right. >> probably would be. brokered convention, he is talked about how big a mistake it would be from the democratic side. they got to be loving the thought. of a brokered convention. >> it's -- they are doing dances in the democratic party. the trump phenomenon helps hillary clinton of course. we would love for hillary to go against trump. she polls very well against him. how he's blown up the party and nominated difficult for the party to even decide who they
11:09 pm
stand for. what are they standing for? what do they really want? the republican party is in an absolute mess. if they go to a brokered convention there would be no republican party. >> every election we hear there could be a brokered conviction. most say what? this year we get it, right? because now the name paul ryan is being floated out saying we don't want trump, let's put he should else behind him. he is liked by a lot of people. >> yeah, he's liked by a lot of people except the people didn't pick him. the republican party would probably be finished. this will be the best time for a third party to rise you up up, because you're going to get 30 to 40% of your electorate to walk. >> governor kasich says this about the possibility of a brokered convention. >> i'm running for president, because i have the experience, the record and the skills to lead this country.
11:10 pm
game or electing a class president, i'm interested in being president of the united states because i know how to handle international affairs and i know what it takes to fix the economy. that's why i'm running for president and i'm going to run to the very inch of everything i can do. i don't want to get into what about this or what about if that happens. >> he doesn't want to get into it, but there is no mathematical way for him to do it without a brokered convention. that's the only reason he could still be in this. >> that's exactly right. john kasich is a good man, good states man, he had a big win in ohio in his home state, and we can take nothing away from that. he has no plausible path to the presidency without something happening at the convention. he can avoid talking about it all he wants. there is going to be a fracturing of the party further than it already has been, formally if they go to convention, trump will not have the 1237 he needs. someone's going to make a decision for the rest of the united states, and for the republican party.
11:11 pm
the republican party. kasich is trying to hang around on. i think he's trying to make sure his support stays where it is. maybe he's trying to make a deal. he can't move forward without a brokered convention. >> the only way somebody beats donald trump right now is if it is a two man race. here is what ted cruz had to say about that. >> two campaigns have a plausible path to the nomination. ours and donald trump's. nobody else has any mathematical possibility whatsoever. >> and he's right. he's the only one if everybody else is out. >> yeah, and it will still be an uphill battle for ted cruz but still plausible. john kasich i got to say is delusional. i don't even believe he's a good guy. let's say he won his state. you're supposed to win your state. and the only reason i would say that he won his state is because he coalesced to democrats and also you have marco rubio saying listen don't vote for me in ohio
11:12 pm
these are things that have to go into play. john kasich it's hard to see him winning any state, let alone winning every single delegate from here on out. and he would still loss with all those delegates. >> cruz has done a great job. every time someone gets out of the race he politely says come to ted cruz. marco rubio supporters we welcome you to the ted cruz campaign. john kasich supporters, when he's out, welcome to the cruz campaign. he knows the numbers. he knows the math. it's simple matthew about it makes accepts. everyone not voting for trump potentially would coalesce to him. he still can't get the majority but they will able to stop trump. the question is what do you do next? >> the republican powerbrokers have said to ted cruz we don't like you, we can't get along with you, we'll never support you, now they're saying what do you need us to do. all of a sudden he pulled them in because of what's happening. >> and i'm still not sure they're completely there otherwise you wouldn't hear the
11:13 pm
mitch mc condition nail said paul ryan is my guy. and that's the problem with the gop. that's why you have ted cruz. that's why you have donald trump. so they better learn quick, otherwise they lose their brand. >> appreciate you. >> carl jackson radio, you can find me there. >> facebook, twitter. >> look at this guy. thanks. all right. still ahead, the florida flop, why one of the most powerful political states in the country can't seem to come up with the successful candidate for president. before we go to break it is time for your political fun fact. there is a big difference between a contested convention and brokered convention. contested the delegates decide in an open vote.

>> on the twitter trail, hillary clinton tweets, hate, isn't an american value. glorified. we can't let trump be our next president. >> while it is not god's plan that i be president in 2016 or maybe ever, and while today my campaign is suspended, the fact that i've even come this far is evidence of how special america truly is. >> you can call it the florida flop. two promising candidates who watch their campaigns collapse. here is bob frier.
11:17 pm
makes, right? a year ago, marco rubio is on wasn't it? the savior of the republican party. jeb bush was leading in all the polls, thinking he was the de facto nominee for the republican party, and now neither one of them is each in the race. what happened? >> donald trump happened. that happened first off to jeb bush. and he totally underestimated donald trump, dismissed him, and when he started to come on stronger, and attack, donald trump more forcefully at that point it was too little, too late. you combine that with the fact it just wasn't jeb bush's kind of year. his last name got in the way. his family legacy got in the way at a time when voters were frustrated, where with the republican establishment and the way things were. they did not want to go back to the past, combined that was just too much for jeb bush to overcome. he spent too much time raising money and a year where having a lot of money for special interests can hurt you more than
11:18 pm
much for bush. >> i heard marco rubio say the other day, i know there is anger out there, and i could have tapped into that anger, but that's not what i believe for america. i believe in a hopeful america. even if he had, i think he did try to tap into some of that anger in the last few weeks, even if he had, though, would it have made a big difference? >> no. it was not his year, either. a couple other things tripped up marco rubio, starting with new hampshire. of that was his big loss. and that debate when he fumbled badly and got stuck on repeat mode when chris christie was calling him out for repeating, that started a slow bleed and there was no recovery from that. he bounced back to a certain extent but he then resorted to insult comedy, playing don rickels against donald trump and that tainted marco rubio's brand.
11:19 pm
energetic, optimistic alternative. it also does you no favors when you take on jeb bush and knock him out. notice jeb bush left him twisting in the wind, did not endorse him, neither did the other key leaders. all of that was too much for marco rubio to overcome. >> you know, we talk about how flush florida is. wasn't during the primary, because all eyes were on ohio, vote. florida was basically already done. >> and it was only contested in the republican race, really, by donald trump and marco rubio. and marco rubio got knocked out of his own home state. notice you only saw john kasich and ted cruz here that day of the debate in south florida. >> what is it about florida? you mentioned florida delivering. so far historically florida has never delivered a presidential candidate. why is that?
11:20 pm
candidates but like general brush and rubio, they never got very far, and looked as if rubio and bush got farther than any of them, and part of it is that florida is a relatively new state, certainly compared to massachusetts. it doesn't have the same legacy. but florida is still the ultra battleground state. and the fact that you had so many in the race, not just bush and rubio, don't forget that donald trump the frontrunner is a part-time resident of florida. you also had mike huckabee and florida. so that speaks to the clout and the importance of florida. and just the confluence of odd circumstances, just made it such that it just did not pan out for rubio and for bush. >> what do you think will happen with jeb bush? with politics. i think this year did him in. he said that he has other fun things that he can do. he literally said that. and i think that jeb bush has been very successful in private life and he will continue to be. bigger question marco rubio.
11:21 pm
governor but so does adam putnam, and when you get wall opened in your own home state, winning only one county, i think that diminishes your prospects a little bit for a future in florida politics. >> all right. great to talk to you as always. thanks. >> thank you. >> still ahead, disagreement is one thing, but who is to blame when different political opinions lead to violence? you'll hear from one of the organizers who was in the middle of a fist fight rotisserie-style chicken raised without antibiotics? it's what we do. that same chicken pulled by hand? it's what we do. freshly-baked bread and crisp veggies? it's what we've always done. the new rotisserie-style chicken sandwich from subway.
11:23 pm
11:24 pm
>> on the twitter trail, ted cruz tweets, as president i will end common core. donald trump rallies are becoming increasingly violent, but is it being fueled by trump or his opponents? charlie that did you have has more from chicago's south side. >> i'm watching the trump rally in chicago spinning into chaos and i see this guy. wait a minute, i know this guy. jediah brown. in the middle of violence. jediah what were you doing? >> that's not going down to chicago. >> yeah, but people got a right to speak and be heard. >> what do you mean? i utilize my freedom of speech. >> but even people you disagree with have a right to be heard and to hear. >> if you paid attention, trump's the one who coward out. he postponed before we got to say a word. >> but that was rowdy. >> here is the deal. >> you got to admit he was right
11:25 pm
>> not at all. trump has had violence where he instructed people to leave out of rally, said he wish that he could smack individuals, he would pay for the legal fees of anybody that wanted to attack. >> that might be so, but didn't you create the equal and opposite action? >> not at all. and again, so here is the scoop and here is how it goes. i went to that rally trying to figure out could america withstand or stomach a hateful campaign? donald trump being able to run a successful campaign in america in 2016 should be alarming to everybody. so i wanted to see is this real? or is this just what the media portrays? and man, before i even got in the building i was met with racism. ig no nor answer, bigotry and a lot of hate standing in line trying to even get in the door. when i got inside it was no different. i'm looking forward to conversation. >> what were you doing up on the stage?
11:26 pm
that in a bar and got beat down. passionate. it's what america is all about. i was able to go on stage and put out a message of hope and of environment. so don't misunderstand. >> let's debt away to the tape for a second. >> it doesn't look like peace but you can't judge a book by its cover. america is already great without hate. i was in a hostile environment, so my body language was aware of it. >> is there a way trump could welcome people into his tent? black people? people of color? and create a sort of an america for us? >> again, i was there because i wanted to see. first of all i'm of the persuasion it's not about republican, democrat, it's about american values.
11:27 pm
trump was saying the things that would speak to me, that would make me not want to shut him down in chicago. donald trump if he -- he could have stood up as a leader, the very next day, and talked about us needing to have this kind of conversation, about us not wanting to be a riot or contentious environment in this rally. but what did he do? he chose to call people names, thugs and label us and give further instructions about what to do, but he feels his first amendment rights are being infringed upon. i challenge donald trump if you really want to be the president that unites now, i'm on stage shutting down your rally, if you really want us to be united i'm ready to have a conversation with you because i need to know are awe the hateful bigoted individual, the ignorant individual i'm seeing? you need to know am i the individual you're -- the thug you're trying to make me out because this is about america at the end of the day, and i want us all to be able to thrive
