we've got north and northwesterly air flow that is coming in on the eastern flank here of high pressure. that high glides in over the region for tonight's. winds diminish. skies are clear. temperatures really bottom out through the 40s. some 30s should register late tonight over north central florida. 43 at gainesville. 50 at clermont and melbourne showing us low 50s in southern brevard. gusty north northwest winds all day long. winds will simmer down some tonight and even more so in the days ahead as high pressure migrates off our eastern shores. until then cool breezy, sun filled skies. a nice day if you like it cool. this one day is for you. but if you like it warm, the rest of the days will be for you as we find '80s throughout. getting close to the mark, if not exceeding that by wednesday. winds more southerly. the rain chance begins to move up. that's your forecast. here is kristen with live

>> i-4 westbound right before state road 44 in delapped. you can see one lane is getting by. bad crash. again, it was shut down for a couple hours, i-4 westbound right before state road 44. one lane is getting by, but things backed up for miles. you can see on the eastbound side to the right of your screen, things are still moving slowly there. you can imagine people are slowing down to check out what's going on. i do have an alternate route for you if you want to avoid i-4 all together westbound coming from daytona beach toward orlando. you can take you u.s. 92, international speedway boulevard. hop on kepler and take that to state road 44 and hop on i-4 westbound. taking you down to longwood, we have a crash slowing things down on the 434 right at grant street. an accident east of i-4. taking a look at your drive times, i-4 westbound from lake mary boulevard to colonial will take you 14 minutes. eastbound from the attractions

and if you're using the 408 from the 417 to downtown, that will take you 13 minutes. back to you. >> all new this morning, the search is on for the driver in a deadly hit and run crash in brevard county. >> this happened last night around 9:45 at the intersection of courtney parkway and spruce avenue in merritt island. that is where we find gina benitez. good morning. >> reporter: good morning. according to florida highway patrol, the 54-year-old bicyclist was trying to get from one side of courtney parkway to the other side when he fell off his bike. that's when fhp says a driver who was going south hit him and then took off and kept driving. according to fhp, the bicyclist scene. at this point they have not man. notification. at this point, troopers don't have an exact vehicle

they have very little to go on. witnesses describe that the vehicle involved in this may have been a pick up truck. but at this point, that's all we know. so if you have any information on this case, you're asked to call fhp. fox 35. family and friends remembering a teen-ager shot and killed inside of her own home in apopka. as they do, we're learning more details about the relationship between the victim and her suspected killer. dozens of people turned out last night for a candlelight vigil honoring 15-year-old destiny bartman. according to police, she was saturday afternoon. investigators are not releasing any information surrounding the circumstances of that shooting, but they say they have arrested a 16-year-old boy in connection with that shooting and are charging him with second degree murder. since the shooting, her family says they've discovered the two were dating. out.

to actually drive through a construction zone just to help with all of these back ups that we're seeing for miles. again, i-4 westbound side here in deland just before state road 44. you'll notice the traffic on the eastbound lanes to the right of your screen moving slow because as you can imagine, people are slowing down to check out what's`` going on there.` depend, this has been going` on for hours. if you want to avoid i-4 all together, if you're coming from daytona beach trying to get to orlando, you can take international speedway boulevard, hop on kepler and take that to state road 44 and hop on i-4 westbound. taking you down here where we go avenue. we have a crash causing some slowdowns. i want to take you up to maitland boulevard. we have a crash here. maitland summit boulevard that is causing some delays there on maitland boulevard. taking a look at our drive times. i-4 eastbound from john young

now. we'll talk more about it in your full forecast. see you in ten minutes. >> thank you. all new this morning, the search is on for the driver in a deadly hit and run in brevard county. >> this happened last night at about 9:45 at the intersection of courtney parkway and spruce avenue in merritt island. according to the florida highway patrol, a 54-year-old man was riding across the street when he fell off of his bike. as the man was getting back up, troopers say he was hit by an unidentified vehicle. investigators say the victim died at the scene and the driver of the vehicle did not stop. troopers say they're looking for a dark-colored pick up truck, that's all they have at this point. they describe the vehicle as maybe 1995 to 2003 chevy pick up. it may have front444444444444 damage. if you have information, contact the florida highway patrol. new this morning, a man is shot and killed by alachua county deputy afters he refused to put down a gun. this happened around 10:00 o'clock last night at the majestic oaks apartments in

dispatch received call from the man who said he was walking around that complex with an m 16 rifle. when deputies and gainesville police arrived, they found him with that gun. he initially dropped the gun when asked, but then police say he picked it back up and began walking towards the building. deputies tried to warn him several times that if he continued, he would be shot, but he refused to stop. he was shot and taken to a nearby hospital where he later died. 8:34 is now the time. investigators are searching for answers after a man is found dead after a fire breaks out inside of his orange county home. >> that story kicks off the morning rush on this monday. it happened on pineway drive in ` south texas avenue around 6:00 ` o'clock yesterday afternoon. one neighbor saw the flames and tried to help, but wasn't able to. just a few minutes later, fire crews were putting out the flames. the fire marshal's off is investigating. a man in brevard county is behind bars this morning accused of stabbing his girlfriend with a screwdriver. this all happened yesterday

backyard of a home on wisteria drive in melbourne. police say this man became enraged and grabbed a screwdriver, stabbing his girlfriend of nine years in the back and the neck several times. he then ran off, but he turned himself in a few hours later. he's now charged with attempted murder and aggravated assault. and dead fish floating to the surface of indian river lagoon and it appears to be just a massive fish kill. fishermen say it's happening from titusville to melbourne. waterfront residents are posting stunned pictures of dead fish along docks and seawalls. long-time chapter captainses say more than a dozen species are being impacted. the last time this happened, brown tide was to blame. also happening right now, city leaders in altamonte springs getting ready to make a big announcement. the details. >> reporter: good morning.

city of altamonte is willing and ready to pay for your uber rides. they're setting up right here. you can see the uber flags and the reason why we're here at the sun rail station, it's all connected. this is how it works. the city will pay for 20% of all rides starting and ending in altamonte springs. if you use the sun rail, there is a bonus offer. the city will pay 25% of the fare if the uber takes you to the train station. it's all an either to get more people using sun rail. the city has half a million dollars for this brand-new, one year pilot program. federal, state and local tax dollars will all be used to fund it. again, it's trying to motivate people to use more of the sun rail and get ready that the city is willing to pay 20 to 25% of your fares and the official announcement will start in about an hour and bring the very latest. reporting live, jackie orozco, fox 35 news. take a look at what's trending.

kissimmee in the lower 50s. gusting northwest wind flow in place. that will be the case all day long, repeated gusts of 20 or 25. by tonight, high pressure anchored out here, sits on top of the gateway. winds will diminish. skies remain clear. that will allow temperatures to stumble. as the high pushes east of our shores by tomorrow, more of a southeasterly wind. this is gonna help to do temperatures. bring us up and out of the cool snap and back to the 80s like magic right around midweek. 60s again for the good duration of the day. after that, then we start to see the numbers really start to fall by 11:54. we crash out toward the 40s for metro orlando into early tomorrow morning. across the country, snowflakes flying in through new york city, boston. some of the coastal zones east of dc are also picking up snowfall. again, everything clearing up later today and eventually warming up. two areas of high pressure that

third of the country. we're subject to these blasts of winter weather at any time as we phase out of winter into spring and that's been the case over the northeast and for portions of the upper midwest. next storm loading up over the western states. it looks like that will target the area as we go into the back end of this workweek and into next weekend. thus the higher rain chance will be prevalent during that time. not today. no way, no how. 60s for seminole county. lake barry looking good today, as well as sanford. most locals in this range of mid upper 60s. here is orange county for you. our last stop, brevard county, is the place, showing us the gorgeous beaches of and the interior as you go out to i 95 corridor. 60s for the most part, gusty winds out of the northwest and ample sunshine in place. so for the remainder of us, today gainesville about 65. kissimmee, saint cloud, the attractions area, solid, mid 60s. gusty winds by tonight.

we've been on it all morning long and the delays go for miles. if you want to try to avoid i-4 all together, you can take u.s. 92. that's international speedway boulevard. hop on kepler road and take that to 44 and then get on i-4 from 44 from there. taking you down to maitland, we have this crash on maitland boulevard and maitland summit boulevard. it is causing some big delays there on the eastbound lanes of maitland boulevard. looking at our drive times, i-4 westbound from maitland -- lake mary to colonial, will take you 15 minutes. eastbound from the attractions to downtown will take you 18 minutes. if you're using the 408 from the 417 to downtown, that will take you 11 minutes. back to you. >> on the business watch, people with android phones need to watch out. >> yes, 'cause researchers found millions of androids could be vulnerable to a new hacking threat. researchers in israel discovered
