akron police made a big dent in the cocaine part of the equation tuesday with a broad daylight bust. paul orlousky went to akron today for answers. >> reporter: the haul was huge. 11-kilos of cocaine enough to poison hundreds of people when cut in 20 doses street value of $20 million according to the mayor. >> it is drawn national attention for enduring more thaf drugs. >> reporter: it came down to a police department special unit set up to stem the flow of cocaine and other drugs by monitoring known drug areas. >> with the amount of deaths and amount of things going on, we had to prioritize and do something differently. >> reporter: the bust was a mix of excellent police intelligence and cooperation. police tried to arrest a suspect at this plaza at 16 and kenmore in akron and he fled in his car and eventually with the highway patrol giving chase crashed his
