the candidates crisscrossing the country. most voters just glad it is almost over. in just over 24 hours would seem like a never ending campaign will hopefully be over. >> denise: let's hope. early voting ended a couple of hours ago. cleveland 19 lacy crisp reports, turn out is lower than it was in the 2012 general election. lacy? >> reporter: yeah, that's right. early voting ended at:0 came through the doors at 2:15. there were long lines for early voting. overall early turnout is down. 38,000 cast their ballots in person this year n.2012, more than 45,000 voted early. and 54,000 in 2008. election officials explain why the decline. >> it's been, you know, a lot of questions about the top of the ticket for each party.

catherine? >> reporter: the parma school district is depending on passing the tax renewal to avoid cuts like those in the recovery plan. without the tax they don't know what they would do after the community put their foot down on closing or repurposing any of the school buildings. >> the parma school district knows financial trouble and doing anything they can to get anything out of the spokesman says they can afford losing the tax levy they have depended on since 1976. >> if that goes away, i don't know what the future will hold. it makes it difficult to keep providing the education the community wants to our children. >> issue 118 is a 10 year tax renewal brings in $8 million to the school district costing the homeowner about $125 a year. hard to find anyone against it so far. >> we have already voted for it. it's for the kids, you know. >> it sounds tough. you have to do it.

stearns road north of carnegie avenue and a couple of spots to look out for there. a shooting in lorain ended with a police standoff in rocky river. >> chris: the standoff lasted 8 hours. when it was over a man was in custody. mark nolan has details. >> mark: i looked at the monitors and there was sia nyorkor from cleveland 19 talking about what was going on in rocky river. police say a suspect shot a man at on a chase in rocky river and several departments involved in the chase rocky river, lorain, bay village. he got stuck in the mud behind a home. cameras were there early this morning during the investigation and rocky river police chief stillman says the man was armed with a handgun and negotiated with him for hours until he left his car peacefully. >> the suspect in the car which

exit the vehicle and we took a step back and let the situation kind of stabilize and called in our s.w.a.t. team and 6, 7 hours later we had a successful resolution to the incident. >> mark: the man is in custody. lorain police expect him to be arraigned and his identity is not released. the man shot is at metro health. we will bring you details and bring you that as >> denise: the man accused of abducting and raping a 9-year-old girl is indicted. menace menefee grabbed the victim when she was walking home from school and was arrested when someone recognized his truck. menefee is locked up on a $2 million bond. a kent stated football player charged with felony kidnapping. nate holly is on indefinite suspension. the police report says the victim is under the age of 13.

and they went against the democrats who filed that request. also voter fraud will be an issue. that's been brought up. what can we see in terms of when we go to the polls in terms of volter fraud or volter intimidation. what should we know? >> reporter: well, denise, both sides are concerned about this. obviously donald trump talked about the potential of the election rigged and hillary clinton is talking about the integrity of the vote. they will senll 28 states tomorrow. just to make sure everything is operating the way it should be. for the most part if you will vote you probably won't even notice. they are there to protect the integrity of things. there's a slim chance some sort of massive fraud could take place to have any impact of the vote. the system is set up in a way to make that happen and the justice department will not take any chances to make sure they are operating the way they are

it took them over the weekend. we look here at the spread and each one of these, clinton is leading. she has picked up a few points. it is interesting to watch in the last couple of weeks. the only poll showing trump winning is l.a. times and interesting to see that in a california that's traditionally always a blue state. let's look how this is broken down in the past few moss. blue line hillary, red line trump. this is an average o polls out here. hillary enjoyed her biggest lead or second biggest lead of the entire campaign on october 16th. she was up by 7.1 points and then started to slide a bit. we got to here. this is when the lead was probably the slimmest it's been. 1.3 when you averaged all of them. she got an uptick over the weekend and donald trump lost just a touch and clinton with a
