office. and then of course shortly before 2:00, our cavaliers will meet with the president and once again celebrate their nba title. this is an annual event for president obama, big nba fan. that means lebron has been here before and done this before with the miami heat. a few things you can look forward to today. there will almost certainly be a presidential joke about j.r. smith and his attire. there will be a gift from the cavaliers to the president and maybe even a reference to the president's favorite team, the chicago bulls. now earlie t spoke about this trip saying yes, i have met with the president before, but this time because of this collective group, meaning his teammates, it's a little bit more special for lebron james and as we know, the city of cleveland and our world of sports has waited a long time for a day like this. and again, it kicks off in a couple of hours and i'll be back after going inside the white house with reaction beginning first at 4:00. >> tia: well thousands of antitrump protesters marched through the night in 40 cities

the officers were responding to a domestic dispute in cannonsburg, 18 miles southwest of pittsburgh. they were ambushed upon their arrival and immediately shot. the surviving officer is now in intensive care. the suspect has been identified and police say he killed himself and killed his pregnant wife. >> brian: former pepper pike officer jeffrey martin's sentencing is taking place right now. he plead guilty last month to stalking a woman in >> tia: kent state football player nate holley plead not guilty to a kidnapping charge. he's accused of kidnapping someone under the age of 13 from this apartment complex just a few miles away from campus. the k.s.u. senior has a $50,000 bond and must wear a g.p.s. device. oh, man. a courtroom brawl caught on camera broke out in the hallway

to check your furnace. you certainly don't want to lose heat from your home as the temperatures start to cool down. your best bet, they say -- call a pro to inspect your furnace and a little routine maintenance. one of the most important things to do is change your air filter. >> you know you always want a clean air filter. depending on what type of air filter you have. you may have to change it once a month, some you have to change twice a year. >> samantha: but that's really important, isn't it. >> yes. air filter is very important. know how to do, too. >> brian: it's important to have a carbon monoxide detecter. that will alert you if your furnace is letting off carbon monoxide. that's a deadly odorless, colorless and tasteless gas. >> tia: many home owners are looking to have their furnace serviced but some consumers have reported being ripped off. >> reporter: when jeremy and jennifer moveed into their home, they made an appointment for what they figured would be a routine furnace checkup.

>> he's down there for maybe about 20 minutes or so, comes upstairs and says we got some bad news. >> reporter: the technician diagnosed a cracked heat exchanger, a dangerous problem that can allow carbon monoxide to escape into the house. >> this was tagged right here. >> the technician placed this red tag on the furnace and then disassembled other parts of the system so it couldn't even be turned on. >> the sales guy was out here a half hour after the system was disabled. >> trying to get them to spend thousands of drs system. >> your family's going to freeze so you better get a new one. >> jeremy decided to call for a second opinion. >> there's nothing in here. that's abnormal. >> the service manager ran a camera inside the furnace and found no evidence of any cracks. >> ran a full test on it. everything checks out ok. it was running fine. >> everything looked fine? >> everything looked fine. >> if there's a problem, kingston says the furnace should only be turned off, not taken apart. >> the gas valve was shut off. >> just in case the system needs

have moved through and things will look just a little bit different. but, for today, no problems at all. i went mostly sunny for the rest of the day. blustery, too. winds may gust up to 30 miles an hour later this afternoon. and into tonight, as well. temperatures top out around 63. that will be at 3:00. i think that will be the warmest part of the day. but with the breeze factored in, i mean, i don't think it will really feel like 63 to you. especially if you aren't standing right in sunlight. that wind has been a little bit rough if you have been walking around downtown today. i don't think the winds will back off much, if at all tonight. they may pick up in some cases especially along the lake shore. mostly clear skies for much of the night. but clouds will increase by about 11:00. we will probably be mostly cloudy. temperatures running a little warmer tonight than they were yesterday evening. it was cold last night. but, i am going to go 56 at

then when you wake up tomorrow morning on veterans' day, it will be in the 40s. but we won't warm up much at all. this is your veterans' day forecast. 51 for a high. clouds, wind, and drizzle will be the story for the day tomorrow. i don't think it will pour on you all day. it's not going to be a washout or anything like that. but there will be a few light rain showers around. it might not even be appropriate to call them showers because i think they will probably be pretty light. just kind of sprinkley stuff temperatures overnight tomorrow drop into the low 30s and that means that a flurry or two may mix in. now i'm not talking about anything that's going to slow you down on the roads. if you even see it at all. there may be a couple of flurries flying around late friday night. that's it. no snow or rain on saturday. the weekend, guys, looks gorgeous. but, i do think saturday will be a little cool. highs only in the upper 40s. we will get into the mid 50s
