starts now. >> chris: we continue to follow breaking news at 5:00. a growing protest in oberlin. people accusing a bakery of racial profiling. >> denise: it all started with a shoplifting incident and led into a big demonstration. lacy crisp is live with the latest. what's happening now? >> reporter: the protestors have split up. now they are on both sides of the street of gibson's bakery. case of what they say is racial profiling. this is the second day of protests at gibson's bakery. wednesday night a store employee accused jonathan of stealing two bottles of wine. the store worker tried to take a picture of him and keep him in the store and he slapped the phone out of his hand. when police arrived they saw a group punching and kicking the store worker. they say a member of their

the bakery has a history of racial profiling? >> three people from the african-american community were assaulted as racial profiling. >> it is premature. due process hasn't played out. the facts and evidence hasn't come out. they are just reacting like this on assumption. >> to be clear -- now was in court for robbery and the two women were in court for assault. i spoke with the store owner. they said they have had more business in the last couple of days and people coming to the store to say they support them. lily crisp, cleveland 19 news. >> chris: lacy, thank you for that. a protest in cleveland of president-elect donald trump. students told us they don't support a president who doesn't support them. many are frustrateed with the

things say parade better than a marching band. the high school cardinals strutted their stuff as part of the third annual cleveland parade. mayor frank jackson a veteran and police unit marched to commemorate this special day of appreciation for all military. that includes chloe macintosh. her siblings and mother, the few to brave the cold and wind along the parade route today. >> means to you? >> i don't think i could do it without crying. it means everything. freedom is everything. >> today i keep thinking about all the amazing people i worked with in the last nine years and grateful how i have met these people and grateful to meet with my brothers and sisters today. you might say patriotism is in this blood line of this american family. >> since my oldest daughter started 10 years ago from the air force to the marine corps

treated differently. shelby miller joins us live with what's happening right now. shelby? >> reporter: hey, romona and mark. it is still going strong out here now in front of gibson's. can you see there are probably more than 100 people who gathered. it was raining a couple of minutes ago and cleared up since then and not slowing people down across the street. they are holding signs that say honk for black lives matter and people are doing so as well and saying jce students. as you mentioned, this all stemmed from an incident that happened wednesday inside gibson's bakery here in downtown oberlin. according to the police report, the suspect in this case jonathan aladdin tried stealing two bottles of wine. the employee tried to take a picture of the suspect. that's when the two got into a fight. the suspect supposedly hit the employee's phone out of his hand and then police were called to
