it smells bad and looks worse and cleveland 19 found lead in one sample. all kinds of questions there after our investigation into complaints about the berea water department. paul orlousky broke the story today and checked on a possible causes. >> this is a water sewer replacement project in berea, a street where we collected three samples of water for testing and from we tested for iron, copper and lead and found iron and lead over acceptable limits. >> we took samples from the area and major construction project which includes a water line replacement. >> mayoral kleem rejected to our report that construction could be attributing to the iron content. these are pipes being replaced. the lead, six inch cast iron is being replaced with six? >> a: plastic service.

high-level positions and talking about cabinet recommendations. former new york city mayor ruledy giuliani and john bolton are among the names being tossed around for secretary of state. and former trump campaign chair was recommended as treasury secretary. but the transition team is creating more controversy over a request for trump's family members to get high-level family and the business would be open and above boards or the walls between the two are high if president trump keeps faith with criticisms he leveled during the campaign. >> mr. trump has nine weeks to fill thousands of administration positions before taking the oath of office in january. congress is back in session for the first time since the election. >> that's right.

friday. i am going with 73 and then just like that a major cold front crosses saturday morning and showers with it. a huge plume of cold air logical follow this system and the rain switches over to snow. temperatures will be dropping through the 40s and it will be cold enough for lake-effect snow and it will be quite windy as all this happens. now, when you look at numbers on here. rightly so. it is way too early for that. we will have a west to northwest wind develop saturday night and cold enough for lake-effect snow. in the higher terrain areas east of cleveland that will be the best potential to get your first accumulating snow. outside of that looking at some. but that's one thing we will be watching saturday night and sunday. a lot of times around here the

overdoses and four people who lost their lives to heroin and other deadly drugs and this sits on the docks of the sandusky bay. >> we have been very open with the community. we have had a number of community forums to educate folks. >> during a recent community forum more than 1,000 people showed up. it shows there's real concern and fear who could od or die next. >> the user doesn't know what they are putting in theirod heroin or fentanyl and whatever the drug is. you know, they are playing russian roulette. >> the odds are against the user and police, ems and fire have narcan and too many drug users are dieing and that's what the chief posted on facebook. >> i talked to the fire chief and they have done over 170 narcans with their agency alone which is up from 80 last year

and approaching the 4,000 mark. the number of people saying the number doesn't effect me. 2 in 10. this is a survey taken by the ohio health issues poll. how many of you have any of your family members or friends experienced problems as a result of this. >> this top green line, prescription abuse pain relievers. you can assume we have had a drop from last year to this year. somebody abusing pain pills. why the drop? they are increasing in heroin. 22 to 23%. look real close. people who know they are using heroin, 63% of them know somebody who's had an overdose. doesn't mean they died but had an overdose. i know somebody who uses heroin and more than half say they have had an overdose. this is a deadly wheel and not getting better.

>> romona: this all started when people contacted us complaining about the way their water looked in a berea neighborhood. we sent water samples from three berea homes to lab for testing. >> mark: results revealed high levels of iron and one case lead and paul orlousky broke the story last night at 11:00 and back tonight wanting to know what's being done to fix the problem. >> reporter: would you bathe your children in this water? would you drinkt? posed to mayor kleem last friday. bottled water. berea water. a comparison that brings up an interesting question. in flint could there be heavy metal cadmium, chrome, rust in berea water. one of the samples we took from three berea homes we tested contain lead. the mayor claimed he didn't have time to respond. >> give us time to get the water tested.
