you know where the items are going to be in the store? no, i'm not talking about just going in and going to the electronics department, because on black friday stores like target and walmart, they sort of hide or spread out the item throughout the store so that not everybody run in and goes right to one department like the electronics. i've got pulled up right now target has out their list. you to put in your zip code and then find i've done it for the cleveland steel yards target store. this is the map for the steel yard common. remember, each target store is set up a little bit differently so you need to find your map. let's say you find the tv you want the dvd player, the blu ray player you're going to want oo go into the door to the electronics department, but that not where it's located.

from her home in south lake we had six other people looking them up. same item, same website, same time. most of the time everyone's screen showed the same price, but not every time. when owens looked op a night's stay at a hotel in trav lerks ocity, her price. >> it's 132. >> we did the same search sitting right next to her on our phone and the hotel was listed at 119-dollars. out of our group, two saw 132, in fact, we found several cases of this on travel's ocity. the travel website says it does sometimes offer lower prices for people who use a smart phone. we found something similar when we searched rosetta stone's online language software. on ait was a 60-dollar difference shuns we did the search at the exact same time and i got a much higher price. >> sometimes it was where you

difference. when owens priced this ge7-foot christmas tree on home o depot dot com, her price was 399-dollars. yet our producers in boston and minneapolis saw the price of 438-dollars. home depot says sometimes it does offer different online customers different prices based on where they're logged on from, which it says it can figure out by using your computer's ip address. >> you really have no idea why it's showing you what it's >> wills his team of researchers at northeastern university tested 16 online retailers and travel sites. and found on nine of those sites, customers saw different results, and/or prices. wilson says when you log on to a website, companies can see your search history, your clicks, the type of computer you use, eve thn location you're logged on from. >> companies are always experimenting with different strategies.

this thanksgiving f-themed dinner set on the mayflower is a way for the intercontinental hotel to say thank you to first responders, police, and cleveland medical provideers. >> after 36 years of working for the department, sergeant hayes told me he can't count how many holidays he's missed. >> roll out 24-7 every day every week throughout the year, 365 days of the year do the beswe can. >> peter clark works as a general manager for the intercontinental hotel. >> they're out in the streets and making sure we're safe. >> executive chef michael e. swan helped to prepare the meals. >> what a great way to do it on thanksgiving to give back those that have been taking care of us. >> half of those came and left their cars and trucks running so they could take their truck running and head back to work. but others like sergeant hayes

tonight, are a spotty shower. mid-40s for friday. friday night into saturday we could see a little bit of a wet snow mix. again, nothing to write home about, nothing to worry about, just alerting you to that fact. 43 for saturday . increasingly more and more peeks of sun shine on sunday as we top at 49 which is a couple of degrees above average. monday we'll alert you to the fact that there's going carries us into tuesday as well. we're back into the 50s . wednesday and thursday at this point look like more cloud than anything else. november is our second cloudiest month and frearve and 43 is not a bad ball park to be in. we've only had 9/10 of an inch of snow all november long. typical november brings us 4.3, but tuesday we welcome december. so it look like it's gonna be one of those months when we got
