lots of people are doing that. thousands are packing stores and shopping malls trying to get their hands on the perfect deal. shelby miller has more on how crazy thanksgiving day shopping can get. >> it has been crazy. in fact, there have been more than 40,000 people who have come to the mall today. they open up at 6:00 and that's not a lot of time. check out the line behind us. the stores are open, but these people are here waiting. i asked themt and what can they get? they just said they want to go in there and shop. they are not happening out anything -- handing out anything free. a lot of people say it is a great family tradition. >> thanksgiving tradition didn't stop people from lining up this evening. we were cat khol's as people were quickly filling up their carts with black friday deals like tv's clothes and electronics.

in all 19 shots sent people running for their lives. two people were killed and four were hurt. now there is a massive manhunt going on searching for that shooter. >> we consider ourselves one of the safest cities in america. when you have tragedy like this it puts a damper on that. >> the people hurt in the shooting have nonlife-threatening injuries and are said to be okay. tradition you drawing thousands every year. investigators say a driver involved in a deadly school bus crash in chattanooga, tennessee was not on his normal route. they are trying to figure out why walker was driving on the normal road when his bus flipped over and slammed into the tree. six children died in the crash and five remain in the hospital. back at home for more than four decades saint agugstyn has been giving thanksgiving dinners to those who would

as we make our way through friday. saturday's forecast includes a start that may include a little bit of wet snow early on before things change over to rain. eventually sunshine starts to peek through the clouds more and more as the day goes on. we top out at 49. you have a a handle on the immediate future. it takes you to a 4:0 40 and then 39 as we head to 6, 8 and 10:00. not a lot of movement on the thermometer here. at least over the next 24 hours. a couple of speckles are starting to sneak through the clouds. anything we get would be lonely and a quick swipe is the end of it. 5 degrees separating
