ryan davidson has their story. "nats ready go we get a lot of intresting stories every runner has a story these two guys are unique i've never seen anything quite like what they're doing i"m from team 99 counties we're running across every county in iowa to benefit the american heart association and to raise awarness for physical fitness their stipulation is in every county it has to be a marathon distance and if you look at a map of iowa there are some counties that aren't quite 26 miles if thats the case they do a loop nats cowbell it started at a christmas party in 2009 we decided we were tired of running the same routes so we started talking of running to one town to another it was like a train wreck of circumstances it was one good idea lead to a bad idea and here we are today we thought it'd be fun to run from one place to another then we ran across one county without thinking of the logistics of driving all across iowa to run across all of iowas 99 counties nats good job gatorade you can do this i don't think we ever run out of things to talk about its constant banter while we're running theres always something to talk about its been fun we stick together and it kind of awlays works where if one of us is down the other one is up you kind of pull each other along everythings a challenge no matter your level of fitness how fast or slow you think you are you can always push yourself to that next level and this is something thats really helped me do that " nikki/lam so far they raised 8

" " inside these three green houses... tomatoes, tower. "lets go in here" chris french had been in the ag business his whole life- until 2010 " i wanted to do something in retirement, i watned to grow tomatoes that had good flavor" he was tired of the bland-store bought stuff. "theres approx 2000 in these greenhouses" so now he plants his own... coming as no surprise to his kids... "he said dad you're goign to be a mater maker, yep that's what we're going to do laughter" "i dont think they were surprsied their dad decided to do soemthing he's never done before, hes reinvented himself several other times" "cool job right here compared to being in the green house"
10:17 pm
the once hobby is now a march to september full time job. planting two thousand plants 18 inches apart. trelessing to the tops. "alot of work initially, all the time really" hand picking, washing and stamping every.day. "i do a lot of things where hse thinks im nuts but they usually work out" chris says its the iowa soil that separates his tomatoes from the rest .. "its the best for sweet corn in teh world, should be able to produce the best tomatoes in the world, thats our philosophy anyway" its a taste the french's say they never have.. and never will... get tired of. our top 5 plays of the week all made by local athletes. play number five...comes to us from ames. iowa state hosting tcu. joel lanning in at qb, his first and only pass of the game goes to allen lazard who shakes the defender and is gone! 74 yards for the score. if i'm paul rhoads, i use the ankeny- urbandale connection until someone proves they can stop it! lazard was nearly unguardable saturday night. he finished with 5 catches for 147 yards and this score! keyshawn johnson always said, just gimme the damn ball! good things happen when #5 gets the ball! play number four, comes to us from ft. dodge and waukee. the warriors ben ferkin looking for kayde penn. but it gets juggled and finds the waiting arms of kayden preston! check this out again, ferkin's rocket deflects off of penn's facemask, then gets tipped and presto! it finds preston who takes it inside waukee territory. but the warriors would get the last laugh, they hand fort dodge its first loss of the season en
10:21 pm
route to their 5th straight win! still a great i-n-t for the dodgers! play number three, we head over to hoover. the huskies welcoming in lincoln. hoover running the option, wilfrid kouakou pitches it to jerry ziaty. ziaty runs out of room on that sideline and reverses his way to the other side following his blockers, then dives into the endzone for the score! take another look, ziaty either knew our camera was on the other side or he's got great vision, probably both. he avoids three tacklers. then on the other side, splits past three more as he goes marshawn lynch into the endzone! this is almost seneca wallace-eqsue. nothing beats running about 40 yards for 12 yards worth of gain! he got a td out of it and hoover is playoff bound! play number two, was sent in by grand view. the vikings taking on graceland! and here come the special teams. robert lewis comes up with the blocked field goal. then recovers and is homeward bound, 85 yards for the score!
10:22 pm
looking at this again, lewis shoots from the right side of your screen like a cannon! then shows great ups, better hands and then phenomenal wheels as he takes it in for the score. the 5th ranked vikings make it 6 wins in a row with the 19-13 win. finally play number one comes from our game of the week. north polk versus cmb. the raiders are gonna have nightmares about max karpinske for some time. here on this play, cmb going with the trickery, but karpinske snuffs it out coming up with the pick and the six, 95 yards for the score! but he wasn't done. later in the game, they throw his way again and it's rinse and repeat for karpinske, this time 60 yards for the score his 2nd pick six of the night, 3rd interception of the game... he also threw a touchdown pass! that is getting it done on both sides of the ball. he was one of our features on blitz, he got the blitz game ball from binger. and now he's the top play! max karpinske
