webb is now considering running as an independent, and he's holding a newsws conferee today to discuss his candidacy. webb repeatedly complained aboutut not getting enough talk time during last week's democratic debate. well, historic elections north of the border overnight with a landslide victory. justin trudeau becomes canada's second youngest ever prime minist. his liberal party agenda includes legalizing marijuana and taking in more refugees and beatut conservive stephen harper who had been in office for nearly ten years. the 43-year-old trudeau is following in his famous father's footsteps. pire trudeau was prime minister for much of the '70s and '80s. and in south olympic athlete oscar pistorius is out of prison and was paroled yesterday, a day earlier than expected after spending nearly a year behind bars for the death of his girlfriend, reeva steenkamp. pistorius s is now uer house arrerest and wl remain that way for the next four years. prosecutors are appealing his manslaughter convictioion hoping

if that happens, pistorius would return to prison for 15 years. and back in this country overnight, lamar odom has reportedly beenn discharged from a hospital in las vegas and moved to a facility in los angeles. espn reports that the former nba anreality tv star was brouought to l.a. last night by medical l helicopter. odom's family says he is alert and that his condition is improving. odom was found unconscious at a brothel in nevada a week ago. well, japan has confirmed the first case of cancer linked to work at the fukushima nuclear plant. that facility suffered a meltdown in march of 2011 after the cattrophic earthquake and tsunami. a worker at the plant now being treated for leukemia. shares in tokyo electric dropped about 5% on the news as experts say it could open the door to huge lawsuits. under investigation this morning, the security breach involving the personal e-mail of cia director john brennan. a teenage hackers claims to have accessed the account which

included details about brennan's security clearance. the hacker also released names and social security numbers of other key intelligence officials on the cia director's contact list. the fbi and the secret service now actively searching for that teenager. planned parenthood says it is going to fight a funding cut to its clinics in texas. state officials yesterday dropped planned parenthood from the state's medicare program following an investigation into those undercover videos in which the sale of tissue was discussed. a similar battle is being fought in louisiana where a judge ordered state funding to continue for at least two more weeks. more heavy rains have made quite a mess in southern california. flash floods rushed through streets in at least one los angeles neighborhood. some drivers were stopped in their tracks, as you can see. neighbors came out in the rain to try to clear the drains. the water receded quickly leaving a muddy mess in its wake. thatat rain clrs out of southern california today, but the storms move on to nevada and the

camera. well, this is what forced lifeguar to close a popular california beach. a hammerhead shark spotted just offshore in newport beach. it's the second sighting of a hammerhead in southern california this month. experts say el nino is drawing the sharks' prey further north than usual. well, drone operators will soon have to register their devices. a new government task force will decide whi drones must be registered and how. sightings by pilots have doubled since last year, and there are reports that drones have interfered with firefighting. the new guidelines should be in place in mid-december. some 700,000 drones are expected to be purchased this holiday season. oprah winfrey is taking a big stake in weight watchers. the media mogul known for her own struggles with weight has bought 10% of the company for some $43 million. shll also have a seat on the

company broaden its mission to focus on overall health and wellness. weight watchers stock rose 105% on monday alone following the announcement. and more than 200 lawsuits have been filed against volkswagen in the last few weeks, all stemmining from i emissions scandal. in many of them vehicle owners claim volkswagen marketed its diesel engine cars as clean alternatives for years knowing the vehicles were cheating emission tests. vw almost inevitably will have to compensate owners and some legal experts say the company could be forced to buy back the vehicleles altogeer. the gas price has plunged and in some areas it's below $2 a gallon. the national average price for a gallon of gas now $2.26. that's the lowest since february. it's 85 cents cheaper than this time last year. drivers in south carolina, new jersey are paying the lowest. we're talking just under 2 bucks a gallon. >> it's like the '60s all over again with those prices. all right.

emotional. >> police cars were waiting when the plane touched down. the alleged attacker walked off the plane and was questioned but not arrested. the flight took off again for san francisco. well, new developments after the release of this dramatic video o of a tex drive appearing to veer into a passing motorcycle. that driver now faces two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. he's due to appear in court later today. and even though he can be heard on the video saying "i don't care," when confronted about the incident, the driver now says he swerved after being bitten by a spider. okay, police in cleveland have released another bit of dash cam footage of the scene of a domestic incident involving browns quarterback johnny mananziel. his suv seen on the side of a road after being pulled over by police. manziel's girlfriend colleen crowlewas also in that vehicle. she says both of them had been drinking before having a fight.
