a series of burglaries have police turning to the public for help in solving the cases.. sabrina: fort dodge police are looking for your help...as they try to find those responsible for a string of car buglaries. yesterday the fort dodge police department had several complaints about windows being broken out of vehicles. twelve incidents were reported throughout the city of fort dodge from 19th street to 14th street and 3rd avenue north to 2nd ave south. the police department have had several similar reports in other areas of had several similar reports in other areas of the city.

still unknown. sabrina: in other metro news-- earlier this month local five reported about a group of homeless campers facing the possibility of being evicted. the campers told us they weren't sure where they'd go if they were forced to leave. local five's jacob peklo has more on their quest to find a more permanent place to live. jacob peklo, studio: "as the calendar flips to november, a group of homeless campers at sacred heart is hoping the winds of change will blow their way soon." bret bell, homeless: "it's been a little depressing out here. i'm not going to lie. i mean, with the weather, it's been rainy and wet and cold." a few weeks ago, the campers at sacred heart were looking at the prospect of eviction from the des moines woods. natural sound: "you want to help?" christine griffin, homeless: "we haven't had anybody come down here and speak with us, and we've got someone here 24 hours a day around the clock." even though they've found a better spot to camp out, they're still facing a number of challenges. bret bell, homeless: "my tent will leak sometimes, his tent will leak sometimes. their tent might leak and we get scared, you know. his tent will start blowing over in the middle of nowhere. and it's just, 'how are we going to make it'?" as the temperature

they say they've been working hard to find work and a two or three bedroom place to stay for the winter. d'andre carter, homeless: "but i have been applying. i do have my income coming from being out of foster care, but i try to take one step and it gets homeless: "having rapid someone who has a people are still, it's really hard for us to find a place." on monday, christine with some low income representatives. and if the meeting goes well, they're hoping to have a new home. christine griffin, homeless: "as long as we keep the campsite clean, we're hoping that they're able to leave alone until we're able to get into a place." but in the meantime, they'll continue to lean on each other. d'andre carter, homeless: "it gets depressing where you just want to give up, but you know you can't." sabrina: over the weekend, the campers got a well-timed delivery from the nonprofit care for camps. the group brought them new clothes and

food to help in the upcoming colder months. if you'd like to help out some of the homeless in des moines, care for camps is still seeking more donations. you can find more information on how to help at we are iowa dot com. sabrina: des moines police are looking into why shots were fired in the south side sunday... around 2:20 a-m, a witness told police she was sitting on her porch when she heard several gunshots. she saw two white men in a white chevy or gmc pickup take off eastbound on watrous avenue to southwest 14th street... she said they fired more shots while driving away. police found a shell casing near the area. no one was hurt in the shooting. sabrina: and an unhappy trip to burger king leads to an assault... it happened saturday at the store off east euclid avenue in des moines. a middle-age woman ordered chicken nuggets at the drive- thru, then went inside the building and complained they were cold. the customer threw the bag of the food at the manager, hitting the back of her head, then left the restaurant. so far, police have not yet
