tell me he's traumatized. they say there's nothing their son said or did that justifies the way the bus driver handled his temper. especially when ... according to their attorney ... the school district was aware of another complaint against the bus driver about his temper from a different parent ... just a week before this happened. "i was mad, angry, scared" for the first time ... 9th grader christian suarez share's his perspective of last thursday's bus ride home ... when his bus driver was caught on video shoving him to the floor. "when he was walking back to me, i was scared he was going to hurt me so i threw the book at him" it began when christian wouldn't sit in his seat. this viral video, recorded by a student, shows the driver grabbing christian by the ear after he throws a book and makes an offensive comment. "he just lost his temper for some reason, then he threw me." that's when other students start yelling

at the driver to stop. "happy that my friends were sticking up for me, but it also made me feel sad when he told the kid to shut up." the video is difficult to watch for christian's family who take special care of him. he suffers from brain seizures triggered by severe anxiety and stress. the 15-year-old functions at a third grade level because of them. "my heart sank. just seeing someone else put his hands on him did take a toll on me." "some person comes and touched your own family. it breaks your heart. christian says he's never gotten in trouble on the bus. but if anything ever happened again, he would handle things differently. school on thursday. mom and dad will be driving him back and forth for a few weeks at least until he's comfortable enough to ride the bus again. tonight we knocked on the bus driver's door for comment. a woman who answered said he has nothing to say. in the studio kattey ortiz local five news we are iowa. jack: the bus driver -- 61 year old robert scarbrough faces child endangerment and assault charges. tonight he's out on bond and was given a no- contact order with christian. as far as legal action goes ... the suarez family will wait until the school district completes its investigation to decide if they want to sue. stephanie: a memorial that sparked national controversy will move after veterans day. the kneeling soldier memorial mysteriously showed up, without permission months ago in youngs park in knoxville. after an anonymous citizen complained about the memorial- it grabbed national attention about separating church and state. however, last night, knoxvilles city council

voted to move the memorial to private property. local veterans said they're happy the memorial is here to stay. "in a way its almost better because right now, right now the rock blocks it and you kind of have to come over to see it, but over there itll be right in the wide open" stephanie: veterans said the controversy actually helped raise money for a new bronze memorial that will go in the silhouette's place. they will both be in their new places by veteran's day. jack: elections here in iowa. jack: closed at eight. with the exception of a few special elections, most of races were for city council or mayor. and one of the biggest races here in the metro, was the des moines mayoral race. frank cownie looking for a third term, running aginst 27-year-old anthony taylor. he won the election with more than 80 percent of the vote. and in the city council races.... chris coleman is the new city council at large representative. beating loren

stephanie: we turn now to the growing mystery of what brought down that russian passenger plane over egypt this weekend. in cairo today investigators are examining the black boxes from the jetliner that disintegrated in mid-air on saturday killing 224 people on board. they're also looking into the aircraft's repair history, structural concern. however investigators agree it was not a surface- to-air missile that brought down the airbus. steve ganyard if there was a bomb that went off that bomb will be very clear, clearly heard. if the airplane came apart, even the whooshing sound will be apparent on the voice recorder so the
