" patrick, the oldest of destinee mcclung's two young sons, proudly claims none of these gifts as his own; they're presents for the community's homeless population to have. "it's for all the people, and they don't have homes," the 3-year-old explained. "and they're very cold." a few weeks ago, patrick overheard his mom in conversation with someone else. the community's homeless population was mentioned - and patrick, naturally, had questions. "patrick said, 'mama, did you say there are people who don't have houses?'" mcclung recalled. "and i said, 'yeah, you know, sometimes people just

patrick heard that some of the homeless population spend their nights outside in the cold, he began to cry. a video mcclung posted on her facebook page shows patrick in tears. "i don't want them to sleep on a piece of cardboard," the anchorage toddler says through sobs. mcclung says she's never seen her son react that way to anything. "he's 3, and everyone he knows has a house and has food and has toys," mcclung said. but in the late hours of august 19th ... city hall goes up in flames ... destroying all of the records th it. just eight days after the fire ... casey's city clerk dorothy dillinger admits to investigators she took money from the city for at least nine years.. then a year after the fire -- an audit more than one-hundred pages long is completed. elias: the state discovers dillinger spent nearly forty thousand dollars at department stores ... six thousand dollars at avon. she also spent taxpayer money on an online dating service and tickets to entertainment events guthrie county worked with a number of agencies during the investigation. arraignment is set for november 30th at the u-s elias:

tonight we are going to start with clear skies but clouds will fill in late ahead of a snow system expected to hit us on friday. speaking of snow, friday is now looking like a messy day with several inches expected across our forecast area, prompting a winter storm watch for much of central and northern iowa. the timing on snow looks to start in the late morning in western iowa, and it should really get going through central iowa in the late afternoon through the evening. snow totals have been steadily increasing with the metro now expected to get between 3 and 5 inches of snow and the highway 20 to 30 corridor to get around 4 to 7 inches. the winds will be picking up through the afternoon and especially overnight so blowing snow will make travel conditions deteriorate especially as the afternoon and evening continue. here in central and southern iowa we will see the snow start as a wintry mix, but it should turn into all snow fairly quickly,

and while the warm ground temps will be melting the snow at first, it will likely start to accumulate on the roads during the rush hour driving home friday night. we should dry out on saturday and sunday but it will be very cold with highs falling into the 20s and 30s.
