died at the scene. sabrina/ram governor branstad is standing by his decision to join other governors and refuse syrian refugees entering the state. but local 5 asked the governor what he can do with his authority to stop refugees from coming in to iowa since individual states do not have the legal authority to block refugee placement. " " branstad: 13:04:07 that's a question all the governors are asking because this is really a federal responsibility and we're just deeply disappointed the administration has failed to contain and stop isis." sabrina as far as state offices go... there is a bureau of refugee services under the iowa department of human services but it helps mostly with employment services for refugees. refugee resettlement happens through three different agencies in iowa - who work with the federal government... not the state. sabrina: meanwhile, indiana's governor is getting sued by the a-c-l-u for his decision to suspend the refugee program in the state. the group says governor mike pence's decision to refuse the refugees violates the constitution and

federal authority. pence says he just wants to protect the residents of indiana. " i'm certainly encouraged "by the leadership by the fbi director and attorney general expressed earlier today, none of which changes the fact that the director said and j johnson of homeland security have said that there are serious gaps in the kind of informaiton that we currently have under the current program." sabrina coming up on good morning iowa... elias: i got to sit down with a wrestling legend about what he thinks of the presidential race and who he has to clear his presidential candidate choice with before it goes out. elias: but first...for those traveling into polk county...be safe this morning... the sheriff's

5:14 am
donald trump. " elias: what does it take to get a dan gable endorsement? dan: real simple, he's gonna have to get my wife to give me the okay, kathy. elias: how tough is that? dan: that's pretty tough. but i think its not as tough as it could be, because she's been doing her homework and following. i just had to get rushed over here from meeting donald trump for the second time. i was really hoping to get some time with him because i want to know who i'm dealing with. you know i read and i see and i follow but one on one gives you that indication and we didn't get that. i guess they didn't compensate for the wind in his jet. so, i'm a long ways away but with that in mind its not too far away.
