uncovered police reports showing 20 civilian complaints against officer jason van dyke. he has been charged with first degree murder in the death of laquan mcdonald. elias: and finally in the top five... elias: the thanksgiving meal may not get finished before its time to get "black friday" shopping underway... despite tomorrow being one of the biggest shopping days of the year, some big stores plan to open as early as 5 p-m this evening to get an early start on all of the sales. elias: despite being weeks away from implementation, a judge's ruling could pose a problem for iowa's medicaid modernization plan. elias: a ruling released wednesday afternoon calls for iowa to throw out one of four contracts awarded to for- profit companies to manage the state's medicaid program. due to millions of dollars in fines for fraud in other states and having three former

to jail for fraud, the judge ruled that iowa should throw out the contract with wellcare. despite the ruling, governer terry branstad issued a statement saying hed felt confident the plan would remain on schedule. the medicaid privatization plan is set to take effect january first. elias: many say the governor's deadline of january first is way too agressive. the 560-thousand iowans on medicaid just received these packets in the mail asking them to choose a new managed care provider. the problem is, people don't know if their current doctors and hospitals have contracts with any of the four companies taking over iowa's medicaid program. greg 6:41 when we've contacted larger health care systems in the state, des moines metro hospitals, they've indicated they haven't signed contracts with any of the mco's. elias: the iowa department of human services says more providers are contracts everyday, but hasn't released an exact number. another hurdle facing the governor's plan...it has yet to receive federal approval. elias: thanks to low gas prices, many iowans will be

with families for the thanksgiving holiday....but be sure to take extra caution while driving... iowa state troopers say there is usually a spike in accidents during the holiday season...and this year is no different. drivers face weather concerns along with more cars on the roadways. iowa has already seen 275 traffic fatalities this year, a number highway patrol doesn't want to see increase. accident backed up traffic on i- 235 for more than a mile from the actual site... just before six p-m, neighbors near the m-l-k overpass say they heard a loud bang...which turned out to be the vehicle getting wedged underneath the overpass... fire crews rushed to the scene. officials say they had to cut open the car to rescue the three passengers. they were all taken to the hospital, with non life- threatening injuries, a surprise for those who witnessed the crash. jason lillethun, des moines: " all i saw was two cars sitting on the side of the ramp, didn't notice the one on the side of the ramp at the time, but it didn't sound like a car hitting another car." elias: the cause of the crash is under investigation by the des moines police department. elias: meanwhile, a woman is in jail this morning facing charges in connection with a deadly car crash on hubbell avenue. deanna gliem is charged with four counts of vehicular homicide. two of those counts are owi related. the crash

history one name that usually makes the list is dan gable. the three time national wrestler at iowa state and.... olympic gold medalist went on iowa hawkeyes. from '78 to '97 gable led iowa to 15 national titles, nine of those consecutively--- a feat that has never been matched and likely never will. i got to sit down with him recently to talk about his success on the mat and what reitred life is like. elias: do you think it was more difficult for you to do what you did as a coach, or dan gable the individual? dan gable: oh, as a coach because you don't have as much control on the outcome when you're actually the person in that circle on the mat. elias: what was so successful for you
