"you're watching local 5 news midday. .we are iowa's most accurate weather team and we start with your forecast first." sam today is going to be a busy day of weather with rain, freezing rain, and snow all back in the forecast for iowa. snow is going to be a big problem for northwest iowa with nearly 6 to 9 inches expected for northwest iowa. the snow will start falling during the morning hours today and continue through the evening and off and on through tuesday afternoon. heaviest snow accumulations are going to occur in northwest iowa with amounts tapering off as you move into central iowa. here in the metro, we should see mostly rain falling scattered throughout the day with a bit of a rain/snow mix possible through the evening. western and southwest iowa has the best chance of seeing freezing rain during the morning and afternoon hours. highs today should climb into the upper 30s and lows tonight will fall near 30. tuesday we are going to still see a few snow showers during the day but the winds will pick up and blow some of that snow around. we dry out wednesday through the rest of the week with temperatures slowly climbing back into the 40s thursday through the weekend. sabrina: also coming up on local five news midday.... donald trump is feeling the heat following several controversial incidents last week-- sabrina: local 5's nikki davidson has some tips to help you save money and stay safe during your online shopping adventures this cyber monday sabrina:
