"local 5 news midday in hd starts now. we are iowa" sabrina good morning and thanks for joining us for local 5 news midday...i'm sabrina ahmed. sabrina: new this morning, the iowa d-c-i joins a suspicious death investigation in union county. sabrina: the investigation began with the discovery of a decomposed body near the county line with madison county. authorities say a hunter found the body of 37- year-old loretta dillinger in a farm pond off of redwood avenue last week. an autopsy has since been conducted by the state medical examiner. due to the ongoing investigation, the cause and manner of death have not been released at this time. local five will continue to follow this story and bring you any new details as they are made available. sabrina: residents in a monroe county town will need to begin boiling there water this morning... sabrina: a planned boil advisory goes into effect beginning today for the city of lovilla.

will begin completion of a water main project later this morning, requiring the city's water supply to be shut down for a few hours. the project is the result of a leaking underground storage tank. officials expect the advisory to remain in place unti two sets of bacteria samples can be completed showing that the water is safe. sabrina: and a developing sabrina: and a developing story out of newton, where police found a suspicious device monday afternoon. leading police to take two people into custody... officers searched a home on first avenue monday afternoon and found a device they think could be a bomb. the discovery forced an nearby homes in state fire marshal's office was called in to assist. the device was rendered safe and authorities took david and jennifer kelso into custody. the device is still under investigation, and charges are pending in the case. sabrina: our top story this morning, iowans turn out to try and get answers about medicaid program. sabrina::

the capitol monday...all hoping to get the information they need before the rollout of the new plan next month.. iowans came from across the state to be part of yesterday's hearing... state lawmakers joined the crowds in demanding answers, but say they're not getting any. a big concern is the january first deadline to change over the state's medicaid system to four private out of state companies. "senator ragan 23:17:23 my hospital isn't signed up with anybody, my doctor's not signed up with anybody. what do i do? good question." sabrina: one of the senators at the oversight one of the senators at the oversight hearing asked that the deadline for the rollout be moved to july first of 20-16. meanwhile, the federal government still has to give it's approval before any of this can happen. sabrina: local five has received a lot of your feedback local five has received a lot of your feedback on this issue....some feeling its a bad plan, but all still having lots of questions about

saturday's big ten loss to michigan state were cheered up sunday afternoon as the hawks were invited to the granddaddy of them all. people sometimes forget, the rose bowl is the bowl all others judge themselves by and is the game that coined the term "bowl game." the hawkeyes will make their first trip to pasadena since 1991...and describe just what makes this game so special... this week. it shows some changes to the line up for republican presidential candidates....with a new number one here in iowa according to monmouth univeristy. texas senator runner, surpassing donald trump by 5 points and taking his first lead in any primary state this cycle. trump's next with 19 percent and marco rubio next at 17 percent. monmouth university pollsters say ben carson has fallen fast, and that ted cruz has picked up most of those voters. cruz said a few months ago that he would give more time and attention to iowa, and he has been hosting events nearly every week. another poll out yesterday keeps trump at the top... with cruz in second place. the samples for the two polls are different... so of course it's important to so of course it's important to keep that in mind when looking at the numbers. sabrina: we also want to hear what you think about trump's bold statement and the newly released poll numbers....
