the 40s and then 20s with a couple small snow chances. sabrina: caucus night is quickly approaching and that means many iowans are getting ready to cast their vote. and there are plenty of candidates for caucus-goers to choose from. sabrina: but one major concern is for the iowans who may not be in the state at caucus time, and want to be sure to get their vote in for the caucuses. the iowa democratic party is launching a new initiative this election cycle, ensuring all iowans get the chance to cast their vote.. on february first, iowa democrats will be able to participate, using their phone. "we listen to people when they have feedback about how the caucuses work, and one of the things we heard is that some people can't participate, and certainly our military are so important to us and we just felt like that was something we

sabrina: it may not be christmas yet, but 30 kids in the davenport area have recieved newly refurbished bikes and helmets. and the source may surprise you. inside the scott county jail low risk minimum security inmates can take part in a bicycle restoration program, a chance for them to give back. along with being able to bring joy to some kids, those who take part also gain a sense of accomplishment. me to be a little more prepared. there's another fear that drives people to mike sporer's business. when the president or high profile politicians talk about gun control. mike 13:13 people, as they get more and more fearful that they may lose the right to own weapons, they just run out and buy everything they can grab. polk county sheriff headquarters is where people apply for and pick up their permit to carry a weapon in polk county. they're trying hard to keep up with all the new applications and issuing permits. bracelin 1:09 they're absolutely swamped. started seing an uptick in weaon permit applications beginning in october. take a look at a month by month comparison compared to last year in polk county. 100 more permits issued in october of 2015, more than 400 issued this november, and only a week into december there's a big increase compared to the whole month last
