welcome back. the university of iowa was only given about 22 thousand tickets to sell to fans. that would be a lot maybe for stanford, but hawkeye fans want nothing more than to be in pasadena on january first. 55 thousand requests for tickets were sent in-- and alex giaimo shows us today is the day where you find out if you got a ticket or not! " today hawkeye nation found out if they awarded a share of the university of iowa's rose bowl tickets. over 54,000 people applied for a chance to watch iowa compete in the granddaddy of them all but with only 23,000 tickets allotted to the university...plenty of iowa fans were left out but not life long hawk fan ethan diehl. (ethan diehl) the point cut off for for tickets was 31 and you get three points for each season so my parents
10:20 pm
easily made the cutoff but they didn't get the best tickets so you kind of wonder like what does it take to get the best tickets because they turned away 32,000 ticket applications. (alex giaimo) those points are how the university decided who has to stay and who gets to go to pasadena. the priority point system combines longevity, alumni status but most importantly. (ethan diehl) donations i mean its got to i don't know what the points are but it's got to be hundreds of points. it's who you paid. i mean it's about money, purely. (alex giaimo) and if you're hawk fan and still hoping for a chance to watch your team play in the rose bowl for the first in 25 years you're going to have to look to the secondary market.you're also going to have to shell out a good chunk of change. (ethan diehl) of course you know now everyone's you know looking at stubhub, you know, paying $600 a ticket for our game and $200 for the national title game which is crazy. (alex giaimo) tickets for the iowa stanford game are going for 3

"it aint no big adjustment for me or george his fourth year my third year it was overwhelming my freshman year i didn't really know how to handle it but now i got it down pact and we should be good and stay sharp on the court also. jon: and a look at your big four classic schedule. your big four classic schedule. iowa plays drake at 3:30 saturday afternoon at wells fargo arena. then northern iowa and iowa
