accused of beating his 79- year-old grandmother to death appeared in court wednesday. a pretrial conference was held for noah lamprei at the polk county courthouse. surveillance video from the night of the incident, shows the teen acting erratically at this git-n-go. his family says this is not the young man they know. the courts will try laprei as an adult even though the family didn't want that. his aunt says what happened that night in october is uncharacteristi c. katie :49 this is so uncharacteristic of noah. he's a gentle, kind, loving kid. i didn't believe it myself when i heard it. elias: laprei's court appearance was very brief, only a few minutes. several in the room were family and friends showing their support. his trial date was set for may 16th. sabrina: now to the latest in the san bernardino terror investigation as federal charges have been filed in the attack. sabrina: syed farook's

with hundreds of thousands of iowans being affected, the centers for medicare and medicaid services delayed the privitization of iowa's medicaid by two months. the decision gives more time to iowans as they change from state-run medicaid to managed care. but the feds will only approve the change if the state improves areas of the program. they say the managed care provider networks are not fully developed. there are significant areas of the state that don't have many hospitals or doctors within a reasonable distance. and the state call center for people with questions about their healthcare isn't adequate. elias: for a full list of the required changes to the medicaid program before it can be privatized here in iowa on march 1st, we have a copy up on our website. that's we are iowa dot com. sabrina: the person dubbed the most hated man in america has been arrested....as we look at national headlines.
