des moines police are asking anyone with information to call crimestoppers at 515-283-4811. amanda: a new bill will be announced today, aimed at closing the gender pay gap. amanda: iowa will be one of 20 states moving legislation this week as part of the "equal pay can't wait" effort. this morning, representative marti anderson discussed the details of an equal pay bill she is sponsoring during a press conference. joining her were iowa women impacted by pay discrimination and fellow members of the state legislature. women in iowa only make 77 cents for every makes. amanda: and home care workers took to the streets fight for fifteen, as in 15 dollars an hour for minimum wage. hundreds of people walked off the job throughout the day and participated in three rallies. it happened just down the road from the republican debates, to gain

school due to possible lead contamination. the school is providing bottled water to their students and staff in the meantime. back in november, the e-p-a said the school's drinking water was safe to consume - so officials were surprised when this new warning was issued. the ohio e-p-a is also investigating reports of lead in water at a second town south of the school. amanda: meanwhile, michigan's state senate has unanimously senate has unanimously approved 28- million-dollars to help the city of flint recover from its toxic water crisis. four-million- dollars of that money will be used to treat children affected by lead poisoning - the rest will be used for things like paying residents' water bills and replacing the water system infrastructure. the state's governor, remains personally under fire for dragging his feet on the crisis....but says his office is open and complying with the ongoing investigation. zika virus is "spreading explosively" in the americas and that the "level of concern is high." there is no current treatment and it can cause birth defects if the disease is contracted by a pregnant woman. scott mclean has the latest on the outbreak. --reporter pkg-as follows-- health officials are raising alarm over the zika virus but in brazil, the warning sirens have been blaring for months. over four-thousand babies in brazil have been born with microcephaly, resulting in abnormally small heads that can cause brain damage, and long-term developmental problems. (angela rocha, oswaldo cruz university hospital) these babies have brain damage to differing degrees which means inserting this generation into society is going to be very complicated. the world health organization now says the virus is "spreading explosively," with the potential of three to four million cases in the next 12 months.
