"i get tired of seeing all these ads. it can be going to the airport, i can be in the bathroom and a sticker would pop up saying vote for hillary." stephanie: we want to know what you think of the political ads? stephanie: you can post you thoughts on facebook and twitter. or send us an email or give us a call . the contact information is on your screen. jack/lam: it's a caucus for the environment tonight at the des moines public school's central campus downtown. the event was held by the group climate mobilization, and they're asking iowans to support the presidential candidate they belive will stop the bakken pipeline from cutting through the state. hillary clinton is already onboard with stopping the pipeline. "ok, they can pay for it. they need a route. we could use the energy. we're trying to transition to clean renewable energy. iowa has been a leader in that. so, i think the inquiry to make the decision needs to be

jack: meanwhile, clinton is back in the spotlight for her e-mail issues. the state department now says it will not release 22-emails from when she was secretary of state because they contain what it calls "top secret" information. but they say those e-mails weren't labeled top secret at the time she had them. in addition, 18- emails between clinton and president obama will be withheld too. (john kirby/state department spokesman) "such presidential records shall remain confidential to protect the president's ability to receive unvarnished advice and counsel." stephanie: hillary clinton has been under fire for using a non-secure, private email server while secretary of state. stephanie: an issue in michigan topping your national headlines is getting help from a metro city. stephanie/ram: communities in flint michigan have a high level of lead in their drinking water. and now, johnston has been selected to send help their way. it's part of a program set up by the epa which

dollars worth of help. johnston city leaders say it's an indicator that they've been doing things the right way. dave cubit, johnston public works director: "potentially gives us an opportunity to find some other funding sources that allow us to keep our water rates at the current rate and not have to raise them as we have aging infrastructure that we have to replace and as we grow." stephanie: all of johnston's water comes from des moines water works. one of the goals of the technical assistance would be to keep rates down for residents. there are ten water regions set up across the country by the e-p-a. jack: the pay gap between men and women in iowa is a top statehouse matter tonight. jack/1shot: 20 other states are joining iowa in talking about gender equality legislation this week. iowa lawmakers met at the capitol to show that there's real pay discrimination within the work place. right now, women in iowa make just 77 cents for every dollar a man makes in the same or similar position. "equal pay would mean that poverty rate for working women would be cut in half which

iowa families would be lifted out of poverty. " jack: the issue of equal pay for equal work has come up on the caucus campaign trail as well, with iowans asking nearly every presidential candidate about their positions over the last several months. jack: coming up on local 5 news at 10... friday night hoops. jon and jordan covered central iowa and you'll have all the highlights coming up in sports. brad: ((ad lib weather toss)) take sot monday on good morning iowa... the campaigning stretched all the way back to even before the iowa state fair....and now iowans take part in the caucuses... we'll take a look at the history behind the hawkeye state's first in the nation status... and sam has a look at your forecast ((:04 wx ad-lib)) that's monday on the all-new good morning iowa!
