home of we are iowa dot com. i'm jack miller. stephanie/2shot and i'm stephanie angleson. glad you're with us tonight. now let's get a further update on some snow that is heading our way. brad, what can we expect? brad/wxcenter weather adlib: look for some snow to continue to fall over northern iowa this afternoon while the southern half of the state stays mainly dry until this evening. that is when some wrap- around rain/snow showers will develop mainly after 8 pm for the metro. there could be another inch or two of accumulation tonight with these snow showers. they may also cause some slick spots on our highways. drier, but colder weather will come our way on wednesday, but then milder temperatures will return just in time for the weekend! next week is mainly dry, but much colder. jack: now let's get a first-hand look at the roads

photographer here at local 5 had to call 9-1-1 and a tow truck driver this afternoon -- you can see why! a car spins out right in front of him... and he couldn't avoid it! thankfully, everybody's okay in this crash, just some damage. jack: not everyone's happy with another round of snow. one johnston man however... has waited for messy days like this, ever since he found out what a little snow would allow him to do. local fives nikki davidson explains. mason rumpf has learned one thing in his 22 years ... winter is a bit easier... with a furry hat. 1:35:28 i don't like being cold, but you gotta do what you gotta do. and this season...

party says it was a historically close race. the bernie sanders campaign has heard there may have been some discrepencies with what happened at precincts and the results that were reported... so they're going to investigate, and hopefully sit down with the iowa democratic party to figure it all out. now on to new hampshire. voters in that state will choose their favorite candidate a week from tonight. contenders from both sides got there fast to start campaigning. republican marco rubio commented on the democratic caucus in new hampshire today. "if i'm our nominee, we are going to beat hillary clinton and it won't be by a flip of a coin. promise you that one." jack: rubio placed a close third in iowa last night, nearly doubling his predicted percentage from polls leading up to the caucus. he's polling behind donald trump, but ahead of ted cruz, in new hampshire. stephanie: everyone from candidates to national media was trying to catch the quickest flight to new hampshire or back home. and it proved to be difficult with the winter weather. des moines international airport temporarily shut down their runways this morning. many connecting flights to and from denver and chicago were delayed or cancelled altogether because of teh same storm. the airport said they prepared for caucus time for six months.

" "the security lines were short then the snow didnt get here. those early morning flights got out in good shape, until the snow did start coming"" stephanie: airport always reminds flyers to show up at least 90 minutes early toflights. and to check the airports website for updates jack: new details about an very sad situation at one caucus location last night. jack: right outside st. francis church in west des moines, right before caucuses were set to get underway there last night, a man crossing the street was hit by a truck and killed. the victim, described as an elderly man, hasn't been identified yet. the area doesn't have any crosswalks or signals for pedestrians. investigators say at first glance, it does not look like the truck driver broke any laws. stephanie: jack: chief meteorologist brad edwards here now... brad ((ad lib weather toss))

jack: actor and comedian bill cosby was back in court today, but isn't saying much about his case. jack: the former district attorney who chose not to prosecute bill cosby more than a decade ago was in front of a judge today as a key witness for the defense. this as cosby's lawyers hope to use the d.a's testimony to have the sex assault charges dropped. abc's elizabeth hur is in pennsylvania with the latest. " bill cosby.. entering court today without answering questions from reporters.. is hoping to walk out of court.. free of sexual assault charges filed against him. testifying for the defense.. is former district attorney, bruce castor.. explaining he did not believe there was a strong criminal case against the comedian

the accuser in the case first contacted year after the alleged assault to go to police so castor confirms a deal was made.. an oral agreement that said cosby wouldn't be charged if he testified but the current d-a maintains.. because the deal was not in writing.. that agreement is not binding.. is he saying binding because it wasn't in writing or approved by a judge? lawyer gloria allred.. in court in california.. for another civil case invovling cosby.. calls the defense's arguments.. nonsense. sot - gloria allred i find it ironic that mr. cosby wants to exclude evidence that he gave quaaludes to women when that was his testimony. does he want to exclude the truth? it was last december.. just days before the statute of limitations was set to expire.. the embattled comedian was charged with drugging and sexually assaulting former temple university
