elias: an artist in texas -- who also happens to be a mom -- has come up with a very personal keepsake. sabrina: she's developed a method for culturing pearls... out of breast milk. pooja lodhia has more. that pain at the pump we used to talk seems to be dissipating so far this year. according to triple-a-- the national average for a gallon of regular unleaded gas is now a dollar and 78-cents. filling up costs even less than the national average in some states-- like missouri and oklahoma. gas prices there are under one dollar and 50- cents. the average around the hawkeye state comes in at a dollar 80. elias: toyota has decided to end its scion brand...and re- badge the vehicles as toyotas. scion was started in 2003 as a separate car brand targeted at younger buyers. the brand had a unique style, designed to be easily customizable. an analyst with autotrader says millennial buyers -- who are scion's target age today -- are less interested in standing out, and would rather buy cars from known and trusted brands. elias: laundry and dry-cleaning apps are nothing new, but

the incident even forced the lockdown of three nearby schools for a short time yesterday... police say those involved are 19- year-old jejuan (jay-jonn) lyke (like) junior, 18 year old william walls, and an unnamed 17 year old. they've all been charged with attempted murder, robbery, intimidation with a weapon, and going armed with intent. waukee police got the call just after eight a- m...with a report of shots fired at the 11-hundred block of southeast olson drive. no one was hit, though one victim was taken to the hospital for none life- threatening injuries. "upon arrival there they found a subject there that been injured during an altercation it was determined during the course of the investigation that shots had been fired but the subject had not been hit nor had anyone else been shot during the altercation " elias: waukee high school, prairieview and waukee middle school were put on lockdown until administrators determined there was no threat to the schools. sabrina:

developments from the hot lotto jackpot case. sabrina: the case resulted in the arrest and conviction of eddie tipton...a former security director for the multi state lottery association. a jury found tipton guilty of rigging the hot lotto jackpot in his favor. now, a lawsuit has been filed over those actions... a des moines lawfirm says when the association allowed tipton to rig the jackpot - they took away from a webster city man's jackpot. they're also questioning the security and surviellance practices of both lotto locations. " "this was a theft. this was a rigged game. there was no prize as lottery rules. shouldnt have gone back and should go back now, should be reverted"" sabrina: the lawsuit asks for a jury trial. meanwhile, tipton is currently free as he appeals his conviction., but is set to be on trial in another state for fraud later this year. sabrina: growing concerns over the zika virus outbreak top your national

turning to politics...where a lot is happening in the republican side of the presidential race... you have some accusations being thrown around about the iowa caucuses... sabrina: plus....the once lengthy roster of presidential hopefuls continues to get shorter... sabrina: wednesday saw a pair of candidates back out of the race.... rand paul and rick santorum both announced they would suspend their campaigns... neither had strong showings in monday's caucuses...thoug h paul did manage to take fifth place ahead of jeb bush.... our local five political analyst dr. steffen schmidt says it's all just part of the process. steffen 1:20: i think that's what is nice about iowa is we give them a chance to really shine and be great and connect and then we give thema chance to bown out and let the field shrink down. sabrina: now, at one time there were 17 candidates in the republican field, it's now down to 9 after the iowa caucuses. elias:
