reporter: ballinger, whose father owns a famous new york club, is charged with first-degree attempted rape. >> the speed in which the case was taken from the university and brought to authorities, they believe they have a strong case, >> reporter: according to court documents,he alleged victim claims ballinger tried forcing himself on her in his fraternity house bedroom "several times," despite her saying, "i don't want to." in a statement to abc news, ballinger's attorney denies the accusations, saying, "wolfgang ballinger is not guilty of the charges that have been filed against him." cornell university president elizabeth garrett released this statement, after suspending th fraternity. "sexual violence has no place at cornell. we will be considering what ditional steps should be taken to ensure the greek community at cornell is living up to our institutional standard of excellence and respect for others." a sentiment shared by students on campus. >> it's not represent of us as a

cash. police help to catch them before scamming more vulnerable seniors. here's aditi roy. reporter: tonight, the hunt is on for the two young women in this surveillance video, w who police say have scammed residents of at least three retirement homes around houston. with the shake of a hand and a bounce in their step, watch as thwomen appear to sweet-talk their way into this apartment at the hallmark retirement community. >> they're very smooth. said they were the granddaughter of one of my other residents, so she let them in. >> reporter: the retirement home says the women claimed to be from a nearby high school, collecting money for a band trip. minutes later, they come out of the apartment, with a $250 check, and a victory dance. later, the resident had second thoughts andnd cancell the check. so far, the pair has stolen hundreds of dollars from seniors. police, reminding the public, always ask for an i.d., before giving money to solicitors. >> our goal is to get this opped. we want to protect our residents.

good night. james/wx wall a blizzard warning and winter weather advisory are posted for parts of central and northern iowa. they will be in effect from 7pm sunday to 6pm monday. lots of sunshine through the day here in central iowa, but deteriorating conditions are on the way. the snow is beginning to work into western iowa and will make its way to the metro late this evening. accumulations are expected to stay under an inch in the metro and areas south and under two inches in northern iowa. despite the low snow totals, visibility on the roadways will be significantly reduced with winds howling from the northwest and gusting over 35 mph at times. lows tonight will be in the teens to the north and low 20s in central and southern iowa. the scattered snow showers will linger through the monday morning hours and the effects of blowing snow will be felt throughout the day. the commute tomorrow morning will be slow going with visibility issues continuing. winds will be very strong again tomorrow blowing 20- 30mph, gusting near 45mph at times. temperatures will be drastically lower than today, not rising far above the overnight lows, leaving the metro in the lower 20s. the winds continue to be strong all the way through tuesday before quieting. the rest of the work week looks quiet and mainly dry with temperatures below the seasonal average . nikki also coming up on local five news at 5:30 super bowl sunday is here. we're taking a
