nikki a fire in council bluffs leaves one man dead... now investigators are looking for answers. utilities board has learned about the bakken pipeline proposal. it's a story we've been following for you. nikki: the pipeline would carry crude oil from northwest north dakota and end in illinois. so far, 87 percent of the groups that need to sign off on the pipeline have done so. the utility board will make the final decision that determines whether the project moves forward. many local companies are already working under the assumption that the pipeline will be approved. pipe is being stored near newton and some labor unions have already begun training for the project. tomorrow, the

discuss their findings from the months of hearings and other testimony about the pipleine. that starts at 1 p.m. pipeline officials say a decision could be announced at these meetings, but it could also come much later. nikki: new tonight at 10... nikki: one person is dead after a council bluffs house fire saturday evening. neighbors say that two men lived in the home but hadn't seen anyone leave the house for days. fire officials said they got the fire under control and mostly contained to one room but when they swept the house, they found the body. the victim has not been identitified and the cause of the fire is still under investigation. nikki: a fifteen year old girl led officers on a pursuit saturday... topping speeds of 90 miles per hour and causing a four vehicle crash.... the pella police department and the marion county sheriff's office said they got several calls of a erratic driver on highway 163 near pella... officers attempted to stop the vehicle, but the driver fled the area... then slammed into the back of another vehicle, which hit another in a chain reaction. the juvenile driver has been sited with

" for those who don't want to leave the house, restaurants like morgan's are delivering, but gusto is working to corner another part of the market. casey morgan, gusto pizza company marketing manager: "we take all our signature pizzas and we partially bake them for people and they can come in and take them, finish them at home right before the big game." and while it might mean some extra work, no takeout business really can complain about a super sunday.

a home in mingo early saturday morning. the jasper county sheriff's office responded to a call of a fire at 1-07 north walnut street in mingo. the cause of the fire may have been a wood burning stove according to the mingo fire chief. no one was injured... the fire is still under investigation. nikki/lam: a sioux city man is in custody after shooting and wounding a veteran police officer of 13- years early this morning. the officer was treated and released from the hospital. eighteen-year- old isaiah mothershed is in custody after shooting the veteran officer. the sioux city police department were called to an apartment complex to investigate reported robberies. the suspect has had other run- ins with the law as he was arrested for kidnapping and assaulting two men back in july of 2015. "probably like around 1:30 a.m. going on 2, i saw two ambulances pull up and then i looked out the window again and it was a bunch of police cars and of course a round 3 something they starting putting up yellow tape...i just thought somebody was sick, so i didn't know anything serious might of happened" nikki: mothershed also

and is now at mercy medical center. his condition is unknown. this case is still being investigated. nikki: the iowa city police department is looking for an armed robber who took money from a mexican bakery in iowa city. witnesses described to police a heavy set, five-eight, hispanic or black man pulled a gun then stole money before fleeing. police are still investigating the armed robbery. authorites ask anyone with information to call crimestoppers. nikki: a prominent des moines businesses man has died this weekend.... officials say former prinicipal ceo david hurd passed away yesterday.... he was 86 years old. he was the prinicipal ceo from 1989 to 1994 des moines police say his death is not suspicious. nikki/lam: iowa state vets say they're seeing more cases of the seneca valley virus. usually there are only a handful of cases every year. but since july of 2015, there have been nearly 10 cases per week in seven states, including iowa. they don't want producers to panic- but instead are reminding all farmers of pigs-

"in the hog business you never know. when teg or prrs any other disease, it goes good then all of the sudden there's something new" now isu veterinarian's are watching a spike in the uncommon senecavirus-a. the virus rarely causes death and usually heals on its own. but its eery similarity to foreign deadly diseases is what has researchers spooked. "clinical signs are blisters around nose and feet, lameness, those clinical signs look just like foot and mouth disease" generally, state veterinarians only see has researchers spooked. they will be in effect from 7pm sunday to 6pm monday. through the day here in central iowa, but deteriorating conditions are on the way. the snow is beginning to work into western iowa and will make its way to the evening. accumulations are expected to stay metro and areas south in northern iowa. totals, visibility on the roadways will be significantly reduced with winds howling from the northwest and gusting over 35 mph at times. lows tonight will be in the teens to the north and low 20s in central and southern iowa. the scattered snow showers will linger through the monday morning hours and the effects of blowing snow will be felt throughout the day. the commute tomorrow morning will be slow going with visibility issues continuing. winds will be very strong again tomorrow blowing 20- 30mph, gusting near 45mph at times. temperatures will be drastically lower than today, not rising far above the overnight lows, leaving the metro in the lower 20s. the winds continue to be strong all the way through tuesday before quieting. the rest of the work week looks quiet and mainly dry with temperatures below the seasonal average . nikki thanks for watching abc
