that the lee county sheriff received around 80 calls since 20-13 to midwest academy in keokuk.. five of those included sexual offense allegations... investigators executed search warrants at the school in january, along with the midwest treatment center in montrose. the case involves allegations of sex abuse made by a former midwest academy student against a staff member. sabrina: the zika virus outbreak has raised questions about upcoming spring break plans for some. sabrina: an iowa travel agency has been receiving calls from those with concerns about their trips to countries that have cases of the virus... the mosquito- borne virus is spreading in central and south america. destinations unlimited says a number of its clients are heading to the area for the warmer temperatures. so far, the travel agency says no one has canceled their trips, but the company has been counseling concerned travelers about how the virus

federal approval. sabrina: as iowa school districts look to the statehouse for an answer on education funding...more schools are sending their own students to the capitol to lobby thier cause... caroline reinwald has more as students from a district facing a massive budget hole...went right to the top of state government to push their cause. " --reporter pkg-as follows-- more than 60 davenport students got off the bus in des moines on monday... meeting with state lawmakers with one goal in mind. (thompson teasdale, davenport high school senior): "we want education to be one of the state's top priorities," armed with a petition and about 13-hundred signatures... forecast... sam final weather adlib a large area of rain with mixed precipitation will be turning into snow through the morning leaving us with some slick driving conditions through the morning. most of this system will come through as rain as temperatures are just too warm, but through the morning we will eventually turn most of the rain into light snow. totals for the metro range from a tenth or two up to an inch of snow possible, but with most of it coming as rain snow totals should be fairly low. we'll warm up to a high in the mid 30s today so the roads and sidewalks will likely remain wet through the day. overnight we're going to drop below freezing with temps in the low 20s and wet spots refreezing. wednesday is going to be about average with highs in the low 30s and more cloudy skies. the big warm up is going to start on thursday with highs climbing into the low 50s fairly late in the day! we look to warm up right near 60 here in the metro on friday and saturday should stay in the 50s. next week we look to fall back towards average with only a few snow chances. sabrina elias: thanks for
