energy website, there are more than 3000 homes affected in des moines, and more than 300 in polk county, as well as some homes in johnston and urbandale. now on to our top story. "whistle slap " lucas: state wrestling is underway at the well. and a hot topic at the state house is also resonating on the mats during this year's tournament the state tournament has grappling for victory....but a statehouse is coaches, athletic directors, and if passed, every would be an athletic trainer to be at certain varsity local 5's claire powell met with school leaders wednesday to see what they have to say. "its the biggest week for iowa wrestling but directors and parents, what a new iowa bill could mean for their wrestlers take a beating. dangers that come with each sport" some have taken so much, they're out.

"you knwo as ad's we love the idea, we'd also love the support to get that done and get invovled in the conversations on how we can provide that" jim boehmer - grant's dad and lake mill's athletic director- says there's more than one problem. how to provide a trainer for everyone- especially rural schools. why just varsity sports? and on why no funding?

he's charged with leaving the scene of an accident resulting in death and o-w- i...and is out on bond. lucas: authorities release new details about some new year's day burglaries. lucas: the hamilton and webster county sheriff's offices have been involved in a joint investigation.,... the case involves the january first burglary of rungo's bar in stratford... and the burglary of the iron saddle saloon in dayton on that same day. investigators released images from the crime, hoping to identify the suspect... both sheriff's offices received numerous tips in the case, and have now named matthew lee moore of west des moines as the suspect. a warrant for third degree burglary has been issued for moore, who is believed to be living in the metro area. anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to contact law enforcement or the hamilton county crime stoppers. lucas: new this morning, some residents in denison are outraged over offensive images allegedly created by the

lucas: an investigation by the mayor's office found racist and pornographic pictures transmitted from police chief john emswiler to a shared city computer drive. the denison city attorney confirmed the lewd images were created on emswiler's private computer, but wasn't aware how they ended up on technology that was seen by co- workers. angry residents took to the streets wednesday to protest the police chief's actions. " --sot--(ray ohl/fmr. denison police officer): "public opinion. what he's got on his computer is not right and i think any reasonable person would agree. basically trying to get it out there saying he this is what's going on here this is the reason the things are they way they are and it needs to change."" lucas: the mayor has reportedly taken disciplinary action against the police chief. lucas: also new this morning...kum & go in unveiling a new store design in johnston... lucas: the convenience store chain opened the doors to its first marketplace store this morning... the newly rebuilt location on northwest 86th street in johnston will feature new offerings including a grwoler station for fresh beer,

on your money now lucas: we begin with a recall of nearly three million toyota s-u-vs worldwide...due to problems with seat belts. the company said a flaw could cause some rear seat belts to fail. the affected vehicles are the toyota rav-4, rav-4 e-v, and toyota vanguard. most were built between 2005 and 20-14. toyota dealers will fix the problem at no cost to the consumer. lucas: america's national parks are becoming very popular vacation destinations. new numbers show more people visited national park sites in 20-15 than ever before. parks across the country hosted a record breaking 3- hundred-7- million visits. the most popular spot was the great smoky mountains, with more than 10-million visits. in august, the national park services will celebrate its centennial anniversary. lucas: and...whole foods new brand may add tattoo parlors to its newest grocery stores. the company plans to open its first "365" stores later this year. the new brand of
