" after months of fighting for dow- duponts headquarter spot-- the city of johnston will have to settle for being a "global business center" instead. once the 130 billion dollar merger between dow and dupont is finalized- the company will subsequently split into three separate entities. wind, driving can be tough for anyone. but imagine hauling around 80 thousand pounds behind you. that was today's challenge for semi drivers cruising through iowa. just like a winter storm, some truckers decided they'd had enough. several semi trucks were parked, waiting out the wind. "you have to slow down cause when you go throught overpasses and stuff there, you'll feel it kinda pull you so gotta, you gotta probably drop 10 - 15 mile an hour, ya know? whats trending now stephanie/2couch author harper lee passed away last night at the age of 89 lee wrote the novels 'to kill a mockingbird' and the recent 'go set a watchman' jack 'to kill a mockingbird' was published in 1960 and tells the story of racial injustice in a small alabama town.

the pulitzer prize for fiction and has sold more than 10 million copies. lee was also awarded the presidential medal of freedom by president bush in 2007. the book has also become one of the most taught works of fiction. jack/2couch: no it's not a bad sci-fi movie, it's a real thing in missouri called fire tornadoes. high winds caused fires to spread across thousands of acres in missouri thursday, which generated whirling flames. sparks from a tractor ignited the fire, but low humidity and high temperatures stimulated the flames. and with the inflow of colder air hitting the flames created the tornado affect. whirls of the flames reached over 10 feet at times. with high winds, the fire quickly spread, burning at least 1,500 acres. stephanie: and while this may look like fire, photographers are feasting their eyes and their lenses on

horsetail fall waterfall in yosemite national park. but when the sun hits it jsut right, it looks like a firefall. this only happens in mid to late february when the sun sets at a certain angle. drought has kept the firefall away the last four years... park rangers say they welcome its return... stephanie/2couh: less than 24 hour to go until the 9th annual blue ribbon bacon festival.. and we got a sneak peak and taste of one of the dishes you'll find there. look at this.. .from bistro montage... bacon poutine. it's a canadian dish made with fries, cheese curds, gravy and bacon. thanks to chef enosh kelly for this...i (stephanie) had a taste and it is so good. the event starts at 10 tomorrow...it's at the iowa events center... tickets still available.
