independent weather experts" brad: today was another one of "those" days with gray skies and chilly winds, but a change is coming! sunnier and warmer weather is on its way! the clouds will likely stick around most of tonight, but those nw winds will be diminishing down to 5- 10 mph later tonight. while the clouds may still be around as we start friday, we should see plenty of afternoon sunshine and milder sw winds. both of these will help to warm us up into the mid 40s. even warmer weather will push in here for the weekend! sunny skies are expected all day saturday with highs reaching the low 60s in central iowa. saturday night will stay very mild with sw winds keeping us in the 40s overnight. that will set the stage for a mild sunday morning, but a cold front will be coming through before noon that will turn some cooler winds in from the northwest. it will be cloudier and windier in the afternoon, but temps should be staying in the 50s.monday is looking pretty nice too with sunshine and highs in the 50s. it is looking like march may come in like a lion because there will be a storm system coming our way on tuesday with a chance for rain/snow depending on the actual storm track. either way, next week will be getting colder, so be sure to enjoy the next four days! brad/wxhang
