is texas. ted cruz's home state where he has a slim lead in a recent poll. it is the biggest delegate prize of the day and experts say it is a must win for cruz. there are 595 total delegates up for grabs in the gop. more than a quarter come from texas and there are many more delegates at stake for the democrats. 1,015 delegates are up for grabs. bernie sanders will likely win his home state of vermont but a recent poll has clinton with a slight lead in neighboring massssachusett for sanders to keep this rice close he needs to win in the south but six of those, alabama, arc, a, georgia, texas, tennessee and virginia have significant black populations, an electorate in which clinton has strong support. and if sanders continues to be beat badly in the south as he was this past weekend in south carolina, well, it will be virtually impossssibleor him

powerful tornado. not exactly what you want to see in your neighborhood gas station. a shuttle bus at the pumps on fire. the driver had noticed that it was overheating and pulled in to get help. besides the bus, gas pumps and a large chevron sign here in san francisco were destroyed. one firefighter had minor injuries. well, a teen accused in the latest school shooting will be in court this morning charged with trying to kill two fellow students. investigators say the 14-year-old opened fire in the school cafeteria i in middleton, ohio. hittg the two students, two others hurt while trying to run away. the school which had practiced for exactly such an event went into lockdown and the sheriff says he knows what's behind the shooting but he wouldn't release details. at the supreme court, gps

clarence thomas spoke. it's the first time in ten years that thomas has said anything during an oral argument. the court and it wasn't just one question but a string of them in an exchange that lasted several minutes. thomas said in the past that he relies on written briefs and doesn't need to ask questions. well, apple has won a legal victory in its latest battle against the government. a judge ruled that apple can't be compelled to help the fbi to unlock an iphone in a narcocs case and is ruling the judge said he found no limit on how far the government would go to require companies to violalate deeply held american values. the justice department plans to appeal. well, that ruling h has no effect on the battle invving apple and the fbi. when it comes to unlocking the iphone of one of the san bernardino terrorists. apple's top lawyer will testify before congress about that case totoday. he'sxpected to maintain apple's position that creating special software to unlock the
