keith pruitt died of a gunshot wound to the upper body. officials say 48-year-old mark volstromer is facing murder charges in that case. authorities say the shooting was a result of a long standing dispute between the victim and volstromer's family. on sunday, volstromer's wife was outside when the victim got out of his truck and they exchanged words. officials say during thisis disagreement... volstromer came out of the house and fired on the victim, killing him. this morning... the richland county sheriff's department is still investigating two more weekend shootings. that's right. officials say one man was taken to the hospital after a shooting off hard scrabble road. and hours earlier... deputies responded to a shooting during a house party on bridgecreek drive. according to lieutenant curtis wilson... an increase in crime

gallup's 33 annual survey release shows who is coming out as this years "most admired public figure" according to the survey... hillary clinton and president barack obama take that title... but they've got some company... donald trump. 13-percent of respondents picked clinton... and 17-percent picked obama. trump followed behind with the support of 5-percent of respondents. clinton has topped the list more frequently than any other woman in the history of the survey. and as the race to the white house continues... four republican presidential candidates are set to speak to new hampshire lawmakers in their final weeks of the state's primary campaign... donald trump, carly fiorina and jim gilmore will address the state house of representatives next thursday. john kasich will speak on january 20th. a c-n-n poll this month shows trump with 26-percent support in new hampshire... while the other three candidates are all in the single digits. pitching themselves to legislators is part of their last big push

some sad news to report this morning. basketball great meadowlark lemon... ...who entertained millions as a long-time member of the harlem globetrotters, has died. his family says lemon died sunday in scottsdale, arizona. lemon joined the globetrotters in 19-54 and played with them for 24-seasons. his knack for basketball trickery and on-court joking made the globetrotters celebrities, and global ambassadors. he also became a t-v personality, starring in a globetrotters' cartoon series and appearing on the ed sullivan show and in many national commercials. lemon later served as an ordained minister and motivational speaker. he was inducted into the basketball hall of fame in 2003. meadowlark lemon was 83. and another passing to report... ian "lemmy" kilmister... the motorhead frontman... has died. his agents says kilmister

65, more rain chances here and there, but looks like potentially rainy at times but a very warm forecast for our tuesday, rochelle. >> rochelle: thanks, jonathan. here's a quick look at stories that are making headlines across the country. residents in texas are busy cleaning up this morning after being pelted by twisters, snow and ice. officals say at least 11 people died in the tornadoes that swept through the dallas area. that brings the death toll from storms and floods to about four dozen in the last week. the severe storms have also made for a travel nightmare with more than 2800 flights across the u.s. canceled and about 4800 flights delayed so far due to the large storm system. rochelle: officials in cleveland are calling for calm. they're bracing for expected protest after a grand jury voted not to indict a white police officer for fatally shooting a black 12-year-old.

a small group gathered outside the recreation center where tamir rice died. rice was playing with a pellet gun when someone called the police saying the gun might not be real but dispatchers didn't pass along that information. only after the shooting, did officers discover the gun was not real. rochelle: a missing texas teen serving probation for killing four people in a drunken-driving wreck is now in custody in mexico. 18-year-old ethan couch and his mother, tonya, were detained weeks after they disappeared after video surfaced online showing he may have violated his probation. at his trial couch's lawyers invoked what they called an "affluenza" defense saying he'd been coddled into irresponsibly by his rich parents. rochelle: shifting gears to sports, it looks like the tigers have swapped their sneakers for flip flops. crysty tells us more. >> crysty: the countdown to college football's superbowl, so to speak, continues for clemson. but it's not all business this week at the orange bowl for the tigers. tim hill has that and more in this morning's sports minute to

33 annual survey >> crysty: welcome back to good morning column by a-your time it's 6:25. gallup's annual survey release shows who is coming out as this years "most admired public figure." according to the survey hillary clinton and president barack obama take that title but they've got some company -- donald trump. 13% of respondents picked clinton and 17% picked obama. trump followed behind with the support of 5% of respondents. clinton has topped the list more frequently than any other woman in the history of the survey. crysty: and speaking of clinton, as the race to the white house continues, four republican presidential candidates are set to speak to new hampshire lawmakers in their final weeks of the state's primary campaign. >> rochelle: donald trump, carly fiorina and jim gilmore will address the state house of representatives next thursday.

to the upper body. officials say 48-year-old mark volstromer is facing murder charges in that case. authorities say the shooting was a result of a long standing dispute between the victim and volstromer's family. on sunday, police say volstromer's wife was outside when the victim got out of his truck and they exchanged words. officials say during this disagreement volstromer came out of the house and fired on the victim, killing him. crysty: this morning the richland county sheriff's department is investigating two more weekend shootings. >> rochelle: that's right. officials say one man was taken to the hospital after a shooting off hard scrabble road. and hours earlier deputies responded to a shooting at a house party on bridgecreek drive. according to lieutenant curtis wilson, an increase in crime is typical during the holiday season. >> of course, this is the time of year, being the holidays, that a lot more alcohol is going to be used, especially around new years and that's when we ask people to really vigilant as to where they're going to be going. watch your surroundings and

things that could happen. >> rochelle: investigators are still looking for information on the bridgecreek road and hard scrabble road shootings. if you have any information on either shooting call crimestoppers at 1-888-crime-sc. rochelle: in orangeburg county a man is facing murder charges after the discovery of the body of a holly hill woman missing since christmas day. deputies say the body of 38-year-old loretta brunch was found in local waterway about five miles south of holly hill, off highway 453. investigators believe she was shot to death. 45-year-old harold pratt is charged in her murder. investigators say pratt and brunch got into some sort of argument shortly before her disappearance. rochelle: and deputies in kershaw county say a poorly secured go-cart landed two suspected burglars in custody. >> c csty: investigators say early sunday morning, drivers reported seeing the go-cart fall off a trailer behind a white pickup truck. when deputies caught up with the truck's occupants, jonathan byrd

we are seeing light rain but the good news is the winds we are seeing have ushered the rain out of here but starting to see showers in and out today. >> crysty: thanks, jonathan, hope to stay a little dry at some point. crysty: a very rare visitor is taking to the shallow coastal waters and it was all caught on video. >> rochelle: yeah, take a look at this giant squid that was seen in the marina at japan's toyama bay. normally these enormous creatures are found only in the deep ocean. the diver who shot this video estimated the squid was nearly 13 feet long. yeah, you heard me right. after the diver got a good look at it, the squid eventually made its way away from the marina and back out to the deep sea. >> crysty: isn't that amazing. all the creatures that are, you know, in the ocean that we never see. >> rochelle: yeah. >> crysty: because they stay so far below. >> rochelle: but this is not only rare but i didn't know they
