5:40 am
as you wake up you need to grab your jacket, you will need it for the first half of today. satellite and radar quiet, not a cloud in the sky, we'll stick with the sunny forecast. sun is not yet but once it comes up i expect blue skies and sunshine for the remainder of the morning and afternoon hours. temperatures are cooling down in a lot of spots. notice some areas staying much warmer. we're at 36 in bishopville, 36 downtown, 36 saluda. 27 camden. airport is 32. 29 st. matthews. areas seeing a little wind are staying a little warmer. the areas cooling down are the cool, calm areas where we have clear skies, calm winds and that is the ideal set up to cool off on this wednesday. we will stick with lighter wind today, it was quite breezy yesterday, we saw breezes up to
5:41 am
because the cold front moved through the temperature radient not as strong, we don't have as much variation of temperatures, that will keep us with the lighter wind today. as we check out what is happening coming down the line, wind chills cold this morning for the areas seeing the wind, so keep it in mind as you head out the door but we are looking for a mostly dry set up today. i don't see any chance of rain today or tomorrow. zero percent chance of rain because of how dry it is. snow in ohio valley toward pennsylvania, more lake effect along lake erie, but for us in the south absolutely nothing happening. more clear skies, sunshine. unfortunately we won't see our temperatures bounce back accordingly. we will be looking at a relativeve cool day today, temperatures in the low to mid-50s across the board. good news is it won't be quite as windy, we will hopefully end
5:42 am
expecting highs to bounce back to the 60s tomorrow, around 60. i don't think we will be in the upper 60s anytime soon. based on what we have been seeing it shouldn't should should be a nice wednesday. >> rochelle: anything is better than 26. >> jonathan: good news, not as cold this morning but still cold. a quick traffic update as you head out and about this morning. >> rochelle: there's good news at the top of the hour, no incident to report in or around the capital city but we're always keeping our eyes on the road and if anything changes we will pass it along to you for your morning commute. and abc columbia wants to help you jump start your day. >> crysty: we have a quick rundown of your top morning headlines. we start with president barack union. speaking on capitol hill last
