you will like the temperatures. >> jonathan: groundhog will tell us whether we will see more winter or spring. felt like spring the last few days for us even though it's late january, early february, we are looking at temperatures well above normal yesterday afternoon and this morning. we also are seeing fog. it is warmer, it will feel better for you as you walk out the door, you will need a light jacket but fog could be an issue for you as you head into work or wherever you are going especially for camden, winnsboro, visibility only a quarter mile. not as bad for us here, but that patchy fog is moving around the midlands and could be popping up where you are going to be very soon. temperatures upper 40s, lower 50s. notice the areas where it's warmer, that is where we are seeing fog. we are seeing a much more air mass coming our way and because

eric: a north carolina couple is spending more time south of the border than they may have originally anticipated. newberry sheriff, lee foster, says stephen taylor of deep run, north carolina, and bridgette clark of la-grange are charged with having a car full of drugs including cocaine, meth, and marijuana. investigators say the couple was arrested after a deputy saw them acting suspiciously in the parking lot of a fast food restaurant on highway 34 near i-26. eric: it is a front porch focus, with a commitment to pulling more seats up the table. that was the message of lexington mayor steve macdougall state of the town address last night. lexington is the fourth fastest-growing municipality in the state and while the mayor is hoping the town will continue to grow, he says he also wants to retain its small town charm. >> our goal is to be esthetic

columbia dropped to one half mile, getting foggier, zero the visibility in camden, saluda half a mile, bishopville a quarter mile. we are starting to see the dense fog moving across, we have dense fog advisory until 10:00 this morning. a lot of that due to more moisture coming our way. temperatures are cooling down a couple degrees falling closer to the dewpoint that allows us to get the fog going, still quite warm for us. upper 40s, low 50s. camden zero visibility but a nice warm start even though you can't see anything. satellite and radar will be quiet, rain not a big issue, we are seeing a few showers towards the upstate near savannah and greensville. a lot of that prorobly won't make it to the surface and we won't expect to see much from the rain. wind calm, we will see them out

maybe 10 to 15 at the breeze iest of conditions. satellite and radar as we zoom out, nice and quiet, a little boundary, getting resolved around the weak, weak cold front that is left over from yesterday that brought good rain in the atlantic, high pressure making it sink. we are more worried about the low in the central plains, that will come our way tomorrow. no rain in the forecast, we will stick with the cloud cover, feeding more moisture and warmth into the system. we will see a warm day today and tomorrow, we will have to be on the look out for thunderstorms tomorrow but today for tuesday and groundhog day warmer for us, i think we will see highs in the mid-70s, another warm day, beautiful start to february. couldn't ask for too much better. we could see a little more sunshine here and there but temperatures have been just extremely nice. 76 yesterday, i think we be in

and bernie sanders take about 50% of the vote. but the numbers are in from the iowa democratic party. the iowa democratic party chair dr. andy mcguire released a statement on last night's historically close vote. in it, mcguire outlines that clinton has been awarded 700 state delegate equivalents. and bernie sanders has been awarded 695 state delegates. mcguire says "we still have outstanding results in one precinct, which is worth three state delegate equivalents. we will report that final precinct when we have confirmed those results with the chair." of course, should sanders win the last precinct, it wouldstill not be enough to edge out clinton but, again, we are still waiting for those final votes to come in this morning. the race was so close last night that democrats in some precincts had to flip coins to determine how to award an extra county delegate. it's a rare move, but a longstanding procedure. party rules call for a coin flip when support for candidates is even but a precinct has an odd number of delegates to award. clinton won coin tosses at precincts in davenport and des moines.

iowa voters showed up last night in record numbers. more than 180,000 voters turned out last night. those iowan voters have spoken. knowing he has won iowa's republican caucuses. cruz with a strong showing last night with 28% of the vote to donald trump's 24%. marco rubio confident with 23% of the vote and rounding out the top four, ben carson with 9%. sights set on south carolina next. "rally with ted cruz" gets underway tonight at 6:30 at t.d. convention center in greenville. from there he'll be heading to new hampshire. of course, many candidates are now turning their attention to new hampshire. their primary is set for next tuesday. donald trump, hillary clinton, bernie sanders, and jeb bush will all be holding big rallies today in new hampshire. 30% of likely republican primary voters are backing trump. that's more than double the support of his nearest competitor ted cruz who stands at 12%.

presidential hopefuls sanders is showing 57% to clinton's 34%. sanders and clinton will go head to head in new hampshire tomorrow. cnn will broadcast a town hall from 8:00 to 11:00. eric: here in south carolina preparations are underway for the first in the south primaries. gop leaders in the midlands say last night's results could have big ballot implications here in the palmetto state. when looking at iowa, party officials say the caucuses are all about which candidate can maintain and gain traction with you voters. >> well, the past two election cycles, the winner of the iowa caucus has not done particularly well after the iowa caucus.. >> eric: even on the other side of the aisle, democratic party leaders kept a close eye on the republican caucus in iowa. democratic party officials say history has shown that what happens in iowa can influence what happens in other states particularly when it comes to voters who don't identify with either political party.

have a significant independent voting population. >> eric: mark your calendars. the republican primary is february 20th and the democratic primary is february 27th. until then, the candidates will be busy vying for your vote. tomorrow former president bill clinton will campaign for his wife, hillary, at allen university. the event held in the john hurst gymnatorium is set to start at 6l00 that evening doors open at 4:00. before the gathering clinton will meet with state democrats to discuss the issues facing south carolinians. hillary clinton's daughter, chelsea, will also be campaigning for her mother this weekend in the upstate.. eric: and in the world of endorsements, marco rubio is shoring up support. he's set to secure the endorsement of south carolina senator tim scott. that announcement is expected to take place today. eric: presidential candidates from both parties have been invited to south carolina to take part in a discussion on faith. the 2016 faith and family presidential forum is planned for february 12th at bob jones university in greenville. attorney general alan wilson is

thursday >> jonathan: 6:43 on this tuesday morning. it is groundhog day, for us it feels like spring, even though it's winter. yesterday we saw temperatures in the 70s, i think we will see the same thing today. today a mix of sun and clouds, more clouds than sun with a high near 75 and low near 60 as the cloud cover holds strong and keeps our temperatures even keel. we will see temperatures in winnsboro maybe not getting out of the 60s. all in all everybody above normal today. >> eric: relatively speaking, very warm in our area. >> jonathan: yes. eric: the groundhog can't predict these kinds of weather conditions but a blustery storm is still casting its shadow in california. >> jonathan: that's right, widespread damage and power outages are the result of that storm across san diego. residents are left cleaning up the mess as winds blew sand all over the place. some are having to dig their way out of the sand just like their snow covered friends on the east

gervais. >> eric: good morning, it's 12 minutes before the hour. there's about 200 angry uber drivers calling for a change. yesterday uber drivers made a noisy protest, honking in and around san francisco over a recent cut in pay. they traveled together over two counties with horns honking and hazard lights flashing. customers may appreciate the savings but drivers say the fare for a trip to san francisco international airport has dropped to an unsustainable level. uber drivers in new york are also protesting cuts. uber began lowering fares in select cities last month as a way to increase demand for the service.

google. apple is reported as the most valuable company on the stock market but for a brief time yesterday, google's parent company held that title. "alphabet" the newly-created parent company of google made some big gains, as it peeled back the curtain on some of its most secretive projects. alphabet then briefly overtook apple as the most-valuable publicly-traded company. shares were up as much as 8% in after-hours trading. eric: it's big news for chipotle. the chain's e-coli outbreak appears to be finally over. the cause of the outbreak is still unknown. dozens of customers in several states reported gettininsick after r ting at chipotle restaurants. no deaths have been reported. to win back customers, chipotle says they're planning deep discounts for the upcoming super bowl weekend. next monday chipotle is briefly closing all of its restaurants for meetings with employees. eric: legislators in one of the nation's "fattest" states are competing to see who can step up to better health. nearly 200 legislators, statehouse staff and lobbyists are logging their steps and tracking their colleagues'
