this weekend starterly. >> rochelle: we are on a roll. >> crysty: one thing that is not on a roll is the temperatures, they are gone. >> rochelle: we are facing a change from 24 hours ago with warmer temperatures. you will face wind, grab a jacket, get the little ones bundled up, you might want to bundle yourself up. here is jonathan kennedy with more to expect. good morning. >> jonathan: i have it in graphical form. temperatures are much cooper, we were seeing a little rain across the northern half of the area, saw a few showers trying to clip the columbia area but we didn't see any actual reports of rain falling. especially this far south we are not seeing the brunt of the impact and highest intensity of moisture and lift, so rain hasn't been an issue even though you will see it across the area,
6:01 am
well off, heading off toward the grand strand toward myrtle beach. nothing to worry about in rain fall, cloud cover moving out. we have seen a lot of rain over the last 48 hours. manning 6.31 inches, king street toward moncks corner, closer to the coast e-7 to 8 irons, obviously the bull's eye. we are looking at a much drier set up and cooler set up this morning. 43 in downtown. 43 lexington. 35 in saluda, wagner 36. newberry 37. the cool air sliding in from the north-northwest, that's where you our wind are coming from. it's been windy for us. right now 5 to 10 locally in the downtown area, st. matthews breezy at 20 miles a hour, gusts 30 miles a hour in a few places, it's been a windy morning,
6:02 am
over from the warm moisture we saw all week to more of a february-like pattern of very dry and cool air. i don't think we will get to freezing but temperatures likely in the 30s for everybody as you are heading out the door this morning. 24-hour temperature change talking how much cooler it is, compared to thursday morning. looking at at radar we are starting to see clear air to the west coming our way. system moves through north carolina. the stuff in south carolina not having a lot of impact on the southern end of it, the main energy source is way up to the north. don't expect to see rain or precipitation for most areas, especially after the next hour or so, it will be gone for everybody here locally. we will look for a fry forecast, cooler, temperatures for some spots maybe not even getting out of the 40s, we will be stuck
6:03 am
for us low 50s, even by february standards and compared to what we were seeing earlier in the week, we went from consistent 70 degree temperatures last week end into this week and now it's certainly nice shock to the system where we will be just in the 50s something and to think we were celebrating jonathan on this national weather person day. >> rochelle: he's bearer of bad news with the cold weather. >> jonathan: you made the plans yesterday when it was still warm so you can't changee it. >> rococlle: and it friday, can't go wrong. >> jonathan: it's friday, you are welcome. >> crysty: no, thank you. crysty: we want to give you a quick traffic update as you head out and about this morning. >> rochelle: still good news, no trouble spots to report in or around the capital city but we're keeping our eyes on the road and if anything changes we
