assisting a motorist on i-20. this is going to be at mile marker 39 in the eastbound lanes. we will continue to keep our eyes on the road and update you if anything else pops up for your morning commute. a-b-c columbia wants to help you jump start your day. we have a quick rundown of your top morning headlines. richland county councilman kelvin washington is facing a felony d-u-i charge, after a collision in hopkins over the weekend. the south carolina highway patrol says this happened just before eight saturday night at bluff road and martin luther king boulevard. troopers say washington rear-ended another car. the driver was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. the passenger, with minor injuries. washington bonded out of jail last night. this is not his first run- in with the law. last month, the 51-year-old was arrested for not paying his taxes for three years. he was ordered to pay a fine and sentenced to probation. richland county council chairman torrey rush released this statement, writing in part, "our collective responsibility to the public is compromised when such an

the coming days we will continue to monitor this situation and rely on the law enforcement agencies investigating this matter." staying on the crime beat... an innocent bystander is expected to be ok... after being struck by a bullet, during an exchange of gunfire in a publix parking lot saturday night. the richland county sheriff's department says this happened in the 46-hundred block of hardscrabble road just after nine saturday night. deputies say the victim was transported to the hospital, with non-life threatening injuries. the investigion continues this morning. if you know something, call crimestoppers at one-triple eight-crime-s-c. officials say a missing 12-year-old, who spent last night in the woods, used leaves to stay warm. the greenville county sheriff's department says the boy scout went missing during a hike with his troop late saturday afternoon at jones gap state park. he was found by a family out hiking about 18 hours later. turning to vote 20-16... no surprises here in south carolina. as

won saturday's democratic primary. the former first lady took home 73 percent of the vote to bernie sanders 26 percent. it's not the outcome sanders and his campaign were hoping for. speaking on a-b-c's "this week," sanders admits, he was, "decimated," here in south carolina. while sanders isn't satisfied by the results... he is taking away some positives from saturday's vote. 33 but there isn't much positive news heading sanders way going into tomorrow's super tuesday vote. according to a new n-b-c news-wall street journal- marist poll... hillary clinton is far ahead of bernie sanders in three key states voting

pools and more. 33 33 we're 33 checking out what will be making headlines later todod. here's eric with your "look ahead." we're talking south carolina roadways... according to the department of transportation... counties are making plans to spend less than half of the 216 million dollars in road money that lawmakers set aside for them to be fixed. the d-o-t says 22 counties haven't submitted their plans at all and are working on determining which projects should get money. and only four counties have identified all projects and are advertising for contractors. states are making deep cuts to jobless benefits. sce the recession ended in 20-09... eight states have reduced the number of weeks that people can draw benefits... while others are

disney says the change is their way of trying to spread out visitation. the so-called "oprah effect" isn't working on weight watchers sales. shares of weight watchers has plunged almost 30-percent after the company reported a surprise 11-million-dollar quarterly loss. winfrey also saw the value of her stake in weight watchers drop by more than 27-million dollars. the weight management company brought oprah on as its public face in october. in the latest t-v ads for the company she says she's lost 26 pounds. mac cosmetics is partnering with reality t-v personality... caitlyn jenner. this makes her the most high-profile transgender star to get a major cosmetics contract. in a statement, mac says jenner quote... "has come to represent courage, fearlessness, honesty and compassion". jenner's lipstick will be called "finally free"... and launches april seventh.

in the line of duty. the prince william county police department says 28-year-old ashley guindon was killed when she responded to a call about a domestic-related shooting over the weekend. two other officers were shot and wounded. guindon was just sworn-in to the department on friday. police say an army staff sergeant has been arrested on murder and other charges in the death of officer guindon and another person. 32-year-old ronald hamilton is accused of shooting guindon and the two other officers when they answered a call at his home. police say hamilton also killed his wife. rochelle: back here at home, a berkeley county officer is expected to recover after being shot while on the job. corporal kimber gist was shot during an early morning scuffle with a suspect following a traffic stop. the suspect identified as 36-year-old travis cantelle smith was found dead a short time later in a nearby apartment of a self-inflicted gunshot wound. a go-fund-me account has been

1-888-crim-sc. rochelle: turning to vote 2016, no surprises here in south carolina. as expected, hillary clinton won saturday's democratic primary. the former first lady took home 73% of the vote to bernie sanders 26%. there's not much positive news for sanders. according to a new nbc news-wall street journal-marist poll, hillary clinton is far ahead of bernie sanders in three key states voting tomorrow. it shows clinton leading by about two-to-one margins in texas, georgia and tennessee. those three are among 11 states holding their democratic presidential races this tuesday. rochelle: it's a slew of states heading to the polls for super tuesday with 13 contests taking place tomorrow. >> eric: and headed into tomorrow's vote gop front-runner donald trump is clinching his first endorsement from a sitting u.s. senator. alabama senator jeff sessions is throwing his support behind trump. sessions said at a rally in madison that american people want change. the senator is known for his opposition to illegal
