sunday night two children are badly injured when their bike collides with the car in delaware. thrill seekers get more than they bargain for when power goes out shutting down a new jersey amusement park. i'm walter perez. i'm czar bloomquist. big story tonight is a pregnant woman killed in broad daylight in philadelphia gunfire broke out on the 1500 block of adams avenue in frankford, around 11:00 this morning. twenty-six year-old megan doto was hit and killed by a bullet that police say was not intended for her. tonight her baby is fight to go survive. story all evening long and has the latest development from police headquarters now, kenneth. >> reporter: and sarah, that baby is still listed in critical condition at this hour. investigators have spent the night sorting through conflicting witness statements about the shooting. they are trying to figure out the target and who fired that deadly shot. shell casings littered this block in the frankford section of the city. police say intended target was never hit the but 26 year-old pregnant megan doto could not escape gun fire. >> i was sitting next to her and next thing you knew, she was shot in the face. she has been at face down on the ground. >> reporter: this friend said they were near the the home on the 1500 block of adams avenue watching after a neighbor's two small chip ren around 11:00 a.m. block away on gris comb street police say someone started firing shots. investigators are working to figure out circumstances surrounding the shooting. >> they should be punish at all cost and if they had a

conscious they would turn themselves in. >> reporter: young woman, almost eight months pregnant was pronounced dead at temple university hospital. doctors were able to perform an emergency c-section, and the baby's father was interviewed at police headquarters. he told "action news" his baby had died, but the victim's family told us the new born girl was hanging on in critical condition. >> young girl was about to have a baby and then all of a a sudden this stuff happens. the it vice bad. she was a nice girl. >> reporter: they happened to be victim's former landlords said their daughter lived next to the scene and their grandchildren typically play on this street. >> they say there were shells all over. it could have been one of the kids or maybe my daughter or husband came out, you never know. just things are getting bad, things are sad and bad. >> reporter: and initial reports say that the gunman got away in a white crop victoria, with tinted windows. investigators are looking for tips in this case tonight and there is a $20,000 reward for

information leading to the killer. reporting live outside philadelphia police headquarters tonight, kenneth moton for "action news" at ten on phl17. >> thanks, kenneth. out of the delaware news room two young people riding a dirt bike in wilmington have been taken to ai du pont who have after being run down by a hit and run driver. crash took place just after 4:00 at intersection of a street and toeson street. a 16 year-old is in serious condition with the head injury. thirteen year-old is in critical condition with injuries to the head and legs. >> investigators are looking for a black or dark blue tahoe or u-conn type suv with white side front end damage. fifty you this dollars reward is being offered for tips, leading to the arrest of the gunman who killed a pennsylvania state trooper. meantime law enforcement officers from three states, are scouring the game lands surrounding the barracks in blooming grove up in pike county. they are searching for person who murdered corporal byron dixon who was shot and killed during a shift change at the

barracks on friday night. dixon recently transferred to the poconos after serving at belmont barracks in philadelphia gunman also shot trooper alex douglass remains hospitalized at this hour. meantime investigators have charged a man with dui after he struck a state trooper vehicle overnight. it happened at 3:00 this morning the on the schuylkill expressway, at montgomery drive. investigators say two troopers park their vehicle in the left lane while responding to an accident when another vehicle slammed into their car. troopers were taken to the hospital with minor injuries. diplomates from around the world are i am in paris trying to come up with the strategy for dealing with isis following beheading of the third western hostage. secretary of state john kerry is among those who gathered for the conference tomorrow. he says that more than 40 countries have agreed to contribute to the fight, to defeat the militants. britain's prime minister spoke out today on the execution of aid worker david haines, who called him a hero. >> his self lessness, his decency and burning desire to

help others of today cost him his life but the whole country, like his grieving family can be incredibly proud of what he did, and what he stood for in his humanitarian mission. >> haines was 44 years old. he was kidnaped in syria in march of last year while working for a french aid group. parishioners were forced out of the church in wilmington this morning after their house of worship caught fire. officials responded to the west minister presbyterian church right there on west 13th street at about 9:15. the fire reportedly started inside of a heater located in the basement. the fire produced heavy smoke all throughout the building. everyone evacuated safely and no serious damage was reported and the wilmington fire department continues to investigate this case. a trip to the amusement park ended with a need for a rescue today for visitors in new jersey. several rides got stuck when the power went out, at six flags great adventure in jackson township leaving

thrill seekers briefly stranded in the air. everybody was safely unloaded within 20 minutes and nobody was injury. park officials are still trying to figure out why the power went out in the first place. meteorologist adam joseph in for melissa tonight and joins us with the first look at the accu weather forecast. cooled down quickly, adam. >> little chill in the the air tonight and only 10:00 o'clock and many areas in the 50's. today the high in philadelphia is just 69 degrees. a true taste of fall, and in fact, a taste of spring as it is coolest day we have had since may 29th, during the last spring. right now 52 in allentown. fifty-five in trenton. fifty-one in lancaster. fifty-eight in wilmington. sixty-one in philadelphia in the lower 60's along the new jersey shore. high clouds around earlier this evening that displayed a beautiful sunset now off the coast, we have a clearing skies because we head out tomorrow morning to the bus stop, lot of sunshine to greet the kids but bundled them up with that full sun. we have a true september chill feeling more like october in the suburbs we will be in the

40's but in the city, 50 degrees at 6:00 and 53 by 8:00 in the morning. we will let you know if these numbers warm back where we should this be time of the year. >> still waiting for summer to start. >> that is true too. >> thanks, adam. a bucks county road serves as a permanent tribute to the plymouth township police officer killed two years ago. the officer brad fox's family helped unveil a plaque renaming a portion of york road in warminster. the road was an important one in fox's life, he used to travel it to get him to the ice rink where he played hockey as a student at william tenant high school. plymouth township per police chief recited a famous quote from general patton. >> do mourn the men who died, bradley we should thank god that such men lived. >> reporter: fox was also a marine who served two tours of duty in iraq. we will a full report on the memorable dedication ceremony coming up in the next half an

hour of "action news". atlantic city has been over run by lovely women in high heels and tonight is their big night. miss america brought a much needed boost to ac this weekend in the form of lots of fans. loudest cheering sections are, in doubt for our local contestant. annie mccormack joins us live in atlantic city tonight with all of the excitement, hi annie. >> reporter: thinks a bright light atlantic city needed after a really tough year here. i can tell you competition is still going on behind me in historic boardwalk hall. they are in the evening wear portion of the competition. i have to tell thaw our local girls, miss parks miss delaware, and miss new jersey did not make it past first cut but i can also tell you they had a love of proud fans out here today. dressed to the nine's people filed in to much was is america inside the competition's home, boardwalk hall. from ohio, to washington, people traveled far to watch one of new jersey's favorite traditions. >> we love atlantic city, it is home.

american matthew todd million er has been sentenced to six years of, hard labor in north korea country's supreme court convicted the 24 year old entering the country illegally to committees peonage. the his trial lasted just 90 minutes. the court said miller tore up a tourism visa so he would go to prison and then investigate country's human rights situation. he is one of three americans being held in north cover re. more trouble for nfl, another player has been deactivated after domestic violence allegations. carolina panthers defensive end greg hardy was benched for today's home opener. hardy was convicted in july of

thanks for joining us. search continues tonight for person who shot and killed a woman in frankford today. >> she was eight months pregnant and now she's dead. the the gun fire broke out in the 1500 block of adams avenue around 11:00 this morning. witnesses say 26 year-old megan doto was sitting on the sidewalk near her home watching two of her neighbors young children. man who does not want to be identified said one of the boys struck the mother to be in the face. >> i put it on the the face to apply pressure. cops showed up. after the cop made decision to put her in the car because it wasn't going to be long, it was too long to wait for ambulance. >> doto died at temple university hospital. doctors performed an emergency c-section, we are waiting to learn latest on the baby's condition. police believe gunman got away in a
