service and drivers are not properly screened nor vehicles checked and it's unclear what sort of insurance drivers have. on the web site uber wridz uber has continued to set the industry standrd for consumer safety across the country. all uber x rides in philadelphia are insured to a million per incident and all drivers must passe rigorous background check. the company goes on to say, before uber x partners gained access to the platform they must pass our more stringent review process that goes back further, avoids out of state loop holes and includes a national sex offender registry screen. uber worked in other cities. it's just really you know taxi cab monopoly trying to exert power. >> and the big issue here is money. to operate a cab in the city you need a medallion. those are auctioned off and price tag roughly $half million bucks. what happens now tark talking to

after the apartment building caught fire on the 38 0 0 block north 15th street tioga-nicetown section firefighters arrived and smoke was billowing from the second and third floor windows and took firefighters 20 minutes to bring this under control. nobody was injured and investigators are still working to figure out how the whole thing started. >> in south philadelphia police say a man pretended to be disabled and robbed a wawa overnight. the crook came into the store on columbus boulevard in a wheelchair and grabbed a donation car from counten and ditched his chair and ran away. police caught one someone matching his description and we're waiting to hear if that person has actually been namd a suspect. the newest numbers from the world health organization revealed more than 10,000 people were diagnosed with ebola in west africa and more than half those patients died. tonight the fiancee of doctor diagnosed with deadly virus this week has been released from the

for answers lingers in washington state after a popular high school freshman shot five classmates before turning the gun on himself. three of those students remain in critical condition with gun shot wounds in the head. jaylen fryburg was football player and homecoming prince at his school. friends say he was involved in a fight offer a girl. two of his victims were cousins. the close knit family is def stated we're going to pray together. we're one big family at home sitting around the table. one big fryburg family that's the ones that got shot. >> a first year social security teacherer intervened in the attack essentially subduing fryburg possibly as he tried to reload. she's hailed as a local hero. >> back in philadelphia neighbors and friends rbd a student from logan killed as she walked home from school. today the call went out asking everyone to end the gun violence.
